...Really....I've really tried, but I can't contain myself.

I just have to talk about anything...DIS-CON-II.

In particular for ideas of what to do on Sunday night, December 1, 2002, and Monday night, December 2, 2002.

Sunday, December 1, 2002, I get off work Sunday morning, fly to Orlando, take te Mears transportation to the beautiful Disney Dolphin Resort, buy my Annual Pass, take a five minute nap, and then go to where ever you guys are...lol.

So...on the following Sunday, December 8, 2002, I'll be going with a lot of you to either Crystal Palace or Chef Mickeys for dinner and then on to MVMCP.

And on Tuesday, December 3, 2002, I'm waiting to see what our Patinmn (Patrick) is planning for that night. It must be something very special.

And, of course, Wednesday, December 4, 2002 through Sunday morning, December 8, 2002 there will be the Official 2002 DIS-CONvention-II, and I can't plan anything, yet, for those days.

So that leaves several night things to do like:

~EPCOT's Candlelight Processional dinner package, and watch Iluminations.

~Fantasmic dinner package and then afterwards the Osborne Spectacle of Lights Tour, then maybe to the Boardwalk.

~Holiday Tour of Resorts and maybe dinner at Wilderness Lodge or Calfornia Grille or where ever everyone decides (maybe this could be done during the day).

~Cirque du Soleil and maybe dinner at DownTown Disney and maybe Pleasure Islands Midnight New Years Eve Party Celebration.

~Hoop-Dee-Doo Review and maybe marshmellow cooking at the camp fire and outdoor movie or Holiday Resort Tour(but maybe this could be during the day).

What ideas do you have?

Hello...hello....helloooooooooooooo...lol!

Ray,
I voted for Cirque and Candelight.

I saw one of the cirque shows in Vegas and it was SO amazing. I think the Candelight processsional really does a good job on Christmas so.... (However, I will be arriving on Sunday too and somehow I doubt I will still be amoung the awake by Midnight!)

Good luck on your poll!

I'll arrive on the 1st, and I'll have a hopper pass this time - so I will probably want to do something that doesn't involve going into a park. I'll DEFINITELY do the Candlelight Processional package at some point.

I voted for something simple for that first night-the holiday tour and dinner. It was a nice way to get to know everyone. Also, since we don't know what Pete has in store for us, I figured the holiday tour was the one thing he wouldn't plan for the convention. :D

I fly in on the 2nd but I wont be able to come out to play until about 22:15. Im staying off site on the first night but i dont mind grabing a taxi, so as long as evryones still out I will be there what ever you choose. I did vote for the option which included the News Years celebration though but mainly because its a late night and that i could join in:D

Ray, hi. I voted for a holiday resort tour and dinner. We'll need to save our strength for later in the week. :D

Thank you for answering Carol, Nancy, Barb, Emma, and Dayna. Didn't that acter, Joe Pisee(sp) always say on that cop movie, "O.K....O.K....O.K...! LOL. I think the movie that he was in with Mel Gibson was "Lethal Weapon-II."

I want to see everything with everyone...lol. I'm thinking about meeting up with figmentvi's group at MVMCP on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 after Patinmn's special surprise event on the same day or night, if it is possible...lol.

I think that you might be right Barb, but you know that we'll probably change our ideas about a million times....lol...or at least tweek them.

The Candlelight Processional and Cirque du Soleil are pretty straight forward as far as lenght of time and what you can actually do, but the Holiday tour can be done in a million different ways.

So can we throw around some ideas about what the ideal Holiday tour would be?

Like...what would you like to see?

Would it be certain Resorts?

And if so which Resorts would you like to see?

Would you want to include a trip to DownTown MarketPlace decorations and maybe looking or shopping at the different shops?

And maybe we could eat together at a restaurant. The two events could be seperate. I mean if some DISers wanted to just do the Holiday Tour and not eat, then we could time a meeting place. Or you could do both.

Where would you you like to eat together? It could be more than one place. It would be nice to have everyone together, but maybe with so many DISers, several groups may want to eat at different places.

All the above would not include park admission.

Maybe some would like to visit Magic Kingdom first, which will probably close at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2002, because MVMCP starts at 7:00 P.M..

So many ideas to choose from!!!

I'll be glad to make a list of ideas here.

So here are some questions:

1. What should a Holiday Tour include?

2. If you wanted to eat, where would you like to meet and eat?

3. Should the Holday Tour be in the afternoon or evening or both or before and after eating?

4. What ideas have I left out? And anytime that you think of an idea just post it here.

Ray, Ray, Ray.....You're just too funny! I miss you so much and I can't wait to see you again. :) I chose the first one.....but HoopDeeDoo was a close second, and I think bicycle races around the Boardwalk sound like a hoot! :D

 Hi Ray.

Lol...Tia...me, too. I can't wait to see your beautiful smile and to hear your cute giggle.

What do they call those 2, 4, and 6-person cycle buggy things?

Boy...I can just see several of these racing down the Boardwalk...side by side...as people jump into the lake to avoid our cycles....lol....j/k.

And then over the bridge by the Beach and Yacht Club and then over the bridge past the Dolphin (see my balcony...lol..) and Swan Resort and we trick the others to go straight while we hang a left turn toward the Boardwalk again....Wheeeeeeeeeeee...lol.

I think that we should stop off at Jellyrolls until the rest of them catch up with us...lol.

You don't have to, Emma. You can steer...lol.

Or maybe you could direct the others in the wrong direction...lol.

Welllllll......

I think any holiday lights tour should include the Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge for starters. I seem to remember being totally underwhelmed by the lights at the Poly (sorry Tia). What other resorts did we do last year? I think I remember the Boardwalk along with the aforementioned other three. But my mind is probably failing me.

Hi, Steve! You're right, the Wilderness Lodge Resort tree and the Grand Floridian trees were both huge, about 5-stories tall...lol...and amazingly beautiful with all those comfortable sofas and chairs to watch them.

The poor, ragged, tiny, little five foot tree at the Polynesian tree really was pathetic...so was that stuffed Santa Claus...sorry, Tia. But the rest of the Polynesian is beautiful. The Contemporary had a huge tree outside the front of the resort.

The Dolphin Resort had a beautiful 40 foot tree completely made of poinsettia flowerplants wit a train circling it with someone playing at the grand piano.

We missed the choirs, and instrumental events at the Grand Floridian last year. The music is wonderful. Somtimes there are bellringers or a chorus from a children's school.

I think that MarketPlace has a large christmas tree ceremony and a chorus, but I'm not sure.

Anybody else?
