Michele, I'd love to meet you! I'll PM you when my niece is allowed to have visitors. I have to admit that I haven't been able to keep up with what's going on with you, so I'm not sure what the current situation is with your and how likely it will be that she'll still be in the hospital when I'll be there.
My niece (Lori) is in isolation at the hospital now and will be for a few weeks (at least).
Her illness had her immune system badly comprised to begin with (BTW she has aplastic anemia). In order to have today's procedure, which is a life-saving one, every bit of bone marrow she had left had to be obliterated by chemo-therapy.
She's been at the hospital for a couple of weeks already getting the chemo, and I haven't been allowed to see her. The only people who have been allowed to visit her are her parents and brother. They have to wear scrubs, masks and gloves when they go in her room.
The transplanted marrow needs to be functioning before I can go, but I promise, Michele, I'll PM when I do, and we can meet for lunch or coffee.
