O Hanna - getting there

We'll be dining at O'Hanna our 1st night.

We are taking the Magic. Express to POR. What is the best way to get from POR to O'Hanna unsing disney transportation?

POR to Downtown Disney to O'Hanna to the Poly?

Or MK to Poly?

It's 'Ohana.

If you are coming from POR, best way to get there is to ride the resort bus to the Magic Kingdom. Walk back to the monorail station. Get on the resort monorail and ride it to the Polynesian. (It will stop at the Contemporary and the Ticket and Transportation Center first.)

If you get on the express monorail by accident, get off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and walk from there to the Polynesian. There's a walking path.

When leaving, take the monorail back to MK, walk to the bus stop, and catch the bus to POR.

If the MK is closed and the buses aren't running, get on a bus at the Polynesian for DTD and switch there to the POR bus.

Because you are switching methods of transportation (there is no direct route between POR and the Polynesian), allow at least 45 minutes for transportation. Because this is your arrival night, please be sure you have enough time allotted for the ME trip AND the Disney transportation. If you don't, then take a taxi to the Polynesian.

We stayed at POR in May...we had a late ADR for Ohana and the above is exactly what we did...rode bus to MK and took monorail when getting to our ADR...took bus to DTD and back to POR on the way from Ohana since it was close to closing time for MK and we knew the monorail would be busy...worked great and it took us about 35 minutes so as PP mentioned, I would defiantly allow 45 minutes for travel. Have fun and EAT MUCH...wish I were joining you for Ohana...it is my favorite while at WDW!!

If you get to MK early enough, the ferry is also a lovely way to travel to the Poly. The other posters didn't mention, but buses to the resorts from DTD can be VERY spread out. We once waited 40 minutes for the CSR bus to come.

A nice way to do it may be to take the bus to EPCOT, and from there take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there it's a short walk to the Polynesian.

Yes, so many delightful ways to get to the Polynesian.

Bus to the MK. Then resort monorail to the very floor that houses 'Ohana. Or take the resort launch which first stops at the Grand Floridian and then on to the Polynesian. Or hop the big ferry to the TTC and either walk or hop the resort monorail to the Polynesian.

Or as N10CJT suggested, take the bus to Epcot and then monorail to the TTC. From there walk to the Polynesian or hop the resort monorail to the next stop.

You could also bus to AK or MGM (DHS) assuming they're still open and then bus to the Polynesian or TTC but the other routes are more fun IMO.

Avoid DTD at all costs!
