O`hana Question!!

My kids always get the Shaved Ice in the pail with shovel. We have always had to pay for it since it was not on the included menu. This was before and after they changed the menus. Its about $5. Sugary flavored syrup and ice...not more to say. Kids like it for about 2-3 minutes. We usually dump the rest in the bathroom sink and rinse it for the pail and shovel.

We still have the shaved ice pails on request- just ask your server. As you walk into the restaurant, we point out the "hui hui" or the cold kitchen, and you can see a white machine labeled "Hawaii's Finest" just beyond the partition wall- that's the shave ice machine. This item is not on our menu and is not regularly mentioned, but we can and do serve it as part of the feast if you ask.

Thanks for much for this information. I am quite sure that my daughter will be thirlled to hear this. We'll be eating there for the first time on May 24.

The children's on-request menu includes chicken fingers, hot dogs, hamburgers, mac-n-cheese, peanut butter and jelly and grilled cheese (w/fries and other typical sides). The meal is all inclusive, no matter how many on request items you order. It's $25.99 for adults and $11.99 for kids. As I tell everyone, come very hungry!

My little guy is funny about eating meat. Sometimes he likes the taste of a hot dog/chicken strips and sometimes not....depending on the brand so I can really nicely ask the server to bring both?

Do you have to request the children's options in advance or can you do it when you arrive?

With the children's options, just ask your server after you're seated. You may order as much or as little as you would like, just bear in mind that these items have a slightly longer lead time than the normal menu, since they are made up on request.
