NYPD Blue question

I used to watch NYPD Blue every week but towards the end of it's run I missed quite a bit. I catch the reruns on CourtTV but I have a question regarding Andy and Connie. I know they had a baby together and moved in, but that's all I remember. What happened to them? Did they stay together or get divorced?

They were still together. She got custody of her sister's baby, and with all that, her own newborn and now another infant, she quit her job to stay home. (the actress who played her left the show). But, we would see Andy occasionally on the phone, and what not. Even the episode when Theo was taken from school, the name of Connie came up, but she was never seen on camera.

They did stay married, but Connie stayed home with the new baby. They didn't show her during the last season (budget constraints caused some actors to not return) but she was home with the new baby. Andy talked about her often. I can tell you how the series ended, if you're interested, but don't want to spoil it for you unless you want to know.

Thanks, I made sure to watch the final episode. It was sad to see the show go away, even though I missed the last season or so.
