Oh my! I can't not wait for the next episode (the Tuesday after the election). I saw the coming attraction and fell off the couch! I LOVED NYPD Blue when Jimmy Smits was on it, I still like it, but he was my favorite partner of Andy.

Ohh, can't wait. Wonder who Andy was visiting in the hospital? I am sad this will be the last season of NYPD Blue.

Didn't he die? Is NYPD Blue turning into a Soap Opera now with dead characters coming back to life?

Yah, he died! That would be very soap operaish if they brought him back from the dead! A little stupid too if you ask me.

Yes he died, it is very obvious in the coming attraction that his character comes back in a "dream". It is actually a pretty funny exchange between the two of them.


NYPD Blue has always had dead people "come back' Andy's son Andy JR would sit with Andy while he sat in a bar talking him out of taking a drink, back when Bobby first came on, he had an uncle? who raised homing pigeons, he died, then there was an episode where the uncle came back to talk to Bobby, I think he even saw his son (the child that Diane miscarried), this was when he was dying.

So, no, it is not turning into a soap oera in my opinion. It is doing what it has done all along. The show does it convincingly. It is not like Bobby walks into the precinct and says, hey guys I never died! He is still dead. I have seen my mother in my dreams, the exact same way. She is standing there, and I say "you're dead". With all that Andy has been going through lately, it seems like this could be very realistic.

How the heck are they doing that? Flashbacks maybe? I stopped watching the show after he left, boy how I sobbed throughout the episode when he died!
