NYIP students: How long?

How long does it take to get critiques back on assignments sent to NYIP? I sent my first one back in the middle of November and have heard nothing. Is this unusual?

Nope - not unusual at all. I sent Unit 3 in back in September - I got my test back but not the photo assignments. So finally a few weeks ago I got irritated and called. Turns out Misty Rice has my stuff - and I was informed it was taking a while because I was getting a merit award for Unit 3. The lady I talked to didn't know which of the 5 photos I sent in got the award, but she said she would tell Misty to "rush it" LOL I kinda doubt she did.

I dunno why they are being so incredibly slow right now - but if I don;t get it back soon I am calling again and asking them to light a fire under Misty or SOMETHING - I am gonna be done with unit 4 and not have my folder to send my assignments in.

I wasn't impressed with misty when I called one day. she seemed generally dis-interested in what my questions were.

On the other hand, CONGRATS on a merit award!!! I can't wait to see which photo it was. Great job as usual Jen!

Something similar happened to me when I did NYIP. Sent in my first unit, finished 2nd before I got 1 back so sent it in with a note that my folder hadn't come back so I was sending without. Got 1 back with a note that I had 2 merit awards from it. Then, when critique on 2 came back, he spent 1/2 the time chastising me for not using the folder. I never sent in any more after that though I did read all the books and do the lessons.

Well, that's annoying. I was so nervous and excited to send them, and they're taking their sweet time!

Ok, thank you for your responses. I'll call them after the 1st of the year if I haven't heard anything by then.
