I'll be bringing a roll, to hold up some parts of me in my strapless blouses!

Claudia won't let me wear my speedo anymore so I may need a roll as well. :lmao:

Artie--did I read you were going in to work today? If so, I hope it went well.

I've been back to work all week, things are going ok considering the lack of solid food (I'm down about 15 lbs and counting). We go to the surgeon for a follow up Thurs. hopefully he will take out some of my elastics to make it easier to eat.

Here is a cute joke I found.

A man was walking along a California beach and stumbled across an old lamp. He picked it up and rubbed it and out popped a genie.

The genie said "OK, OK. You released me from the lamp, blah blah blah. This is the fourth time this month and I'm getting a little sick of these wishes so you can forget about three. You only get one wish!"

The man sat and thought about it for a while and said, "I've always wanted to go to Hawaii but I'm scared to fly and I get very seasick.

Could you build me a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over there to visit?"

The genie laughed and said, "That's impossible. Think of the logistics of that! How would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? Think of how much concrete...how much steel!! No-think of another wish."

The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish. Finally,he said, "I've been married and divorced four times. My wives always said that I don't care and that I'm insensitive. So, I wish that I could understand women....know how they feel inside and what they're thinking when they give me the silent treatment....know why they're crying, know what they really want when they say 'nothing'....know how to make them truly happy...."

The genie said, "You want that bridge two lanes or four?"

Welcome Mark, Joy, and Shadow!

Great joke Artie. Hope your visit on Thursday goes well and you can start eating more soon.

Probably won't check back until the weekend. Have to get Jimmy packed up today so we can move him back to college tomorrow. Busy, busy, busy.

Judy

Hi Mark and Joy.. and Shadow.. LOVED his pics in his Mickey Ears!!!! Did you guys want to take part in the Fish Extender group?? If so let us know, we can have Anjelica put you on the web page.

Most tours are not Wheelchair friendly out of the USA. We are just like shopping!!

Oh Mark.. the Fish Extenders is on board. You hang this "fish extender" from your fish in the hallway next to your door... Then.. each night, a surprise shows up in them. Each family participating brings a surprise and puts them in the fish extenders. I am going to make up the schedule of who on what nights, and which cabins are participating.

I can send you the link if you are interested!!!

How old is Shadow by the way?

For Chad's 21st birthday, we surprised him with a trip to a drag restaurant...all the servers were men dressed like women, I mean down to the implants! They were gorgeous, and it was a HOOT! Anyway, they said, between all the servers/entertainers, they use TEN rolls of duct tape A NIGHT! OUCHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And it really works, I have some close-up pics, and nada!)

Brenda, only the adults are allowed to eat in my new car.. as we are oober careful... the skids are allowed water (it doesnt stain) as they are clumsy w/food and drinks. Luckily, the trip is just DH and I.. so we can have a bite in the car. I dont think that we can bring animal products (such as shaved ham sandwiches on the light pepperidge farm bread w/mustard) into canada. I think as long as the item is sealed in a bag.. Pretzels and the like, from the manufacturer, they allow it. We are also bringing Granola bars (found a good 3 ptr for the 2 bars in the package.. because really, who is going to eat 1 and put the other bacK?!?!?) Also, I plan on not exercising until I start to Plateua.. so that I can totally keep the weightloss going. I do like your idea to building up slowly, since I am not an eager exerciser!! :rolleyes1

Anyway.. Who stayed up to watch Shawn Johnson win the gold??? I was on the edge of my chair the whole time!!!:goodvibes

Guys, it's a car, eat away, it can get you good things. A couple of years ago Chel and I went on a Big Sur Tour with my Porsche club. They had a surprise scavenger hunt for stuff in our cars. I got 50 bonus points for finding an old French fry in my car, I won a hat. Thats why Chels 350Z has two seats and 5 cup holder. I love drive inns:scared1:

think 1/2 our meals lately have been in the car - I need a not so crazy schedule

you OBVIOUSLY never saw the van after the Salesian carpool days....that's why there has been 'no food allowed' since then....9 yrs now...AND no eating in cars also means no mindless snacking

Marla your new bunny is ADORABLE!!!! and i love her name too....

The bunny is ADORABLE, I just want to hug and kiss her!!! What a pretty girl. I have always wanted a bunny. My ex bf said no. Then I had my condo as a single girl, but it was too small w/the cats and all.. then I got my house and my dh said no. MEN!! (except present company)

I dont mind eating in the car, but my dh's children are just the worst. They can barely function at a table, and forget it, they are not allowed food any room EXCEPT the kitchen and dining room. They have no supervision over stuff like that at home.. Christmas a couple of years ago, my Stepson ruined my couch, he ground CHOCOLATE into the cushion. Literally looked like someone had pooped on my couch.. NASTY, and it never came out. Got a new couch, and new RULES!!

Brian and I will be eating in the car on the way to Toronto. We got the 97% fat free ham (4.5 pts for the whole container of ham) and the light bread. I am all set for this road trip up w/foods that fit into WW's plan!!! yeah!!! I have also stuck to my daily points so that all my extra for the week are usable in Canada!!!

OK, OK, I surrender, I won't eat in the car anymore. :worship:

ok.. ok.. I know I said I was going to wait until closer to the REAS Palo booking date to ask the questions.. but I called DCL today AGAIN!! I know.. those poor people are going to have to fill out a restraining order or something.

This one was very nice and Very helpful. I confirmed what my OBC is from when I booked on the ship last.. then asked if I paid for it in full w/my Disney Visa, if I would get the additional $50 OBC.. that was a no.. not combinable I was told.

Then I moved on to the rotation again.. Do they know when they will be making the final decisions... the answer. No. They tend to be fluid in nature up until like 2 weeks before the sailing. That no one really knows the final until they get to the port. Grrrrr.. I asked how am I supposed to properly plan my Palo visit!?!?! she said book what you can get, if it doesnt coincide w/what you would like, tell the dining manager, and they will try to accomodate you. I think to the point of eating to dinners is what she was suggesting.. I wanted to say.. I like some menus better than others.. but.. **sigh** I think they think we are all big eaters... lol.. cruise folks.

Ok.. I moved on to Palo brunch and the private dining room. I have to fax a request to inventory control w/the private room request. The guests names and their ressie numbers as well as my own. Then they will get back to us. Its on a first come first serve basis. Can those that were interested PM me, so that I can pull that list together. Minimum number of people is 12, max number is 14. Brian and I are in. This would be for Dec 29th at 10amish.

Rus.. you are funny.

The new car (literally brand new) has light grey seats.. I just am not to the point where I trust them w/food in my car. Perhaps when the car gets older, they will be able to eat in my car again. DH's car is a different story, as its a pig sty!!! ha.

Sounds like my clan - between the two locations of picking up and dropping off for school/daycare, the extracurricular activities (and I'm the only driver in the house as my husband is legally blind) and the fact that we have been trying to get to the gym more - seems McDonalds and Qdoba are regular stops for us. AND - my son is VERY pissy when he gets hungry and wants food now so for us the kids are allowed to eat in the car..:(

Question - what is the guarantee we will get it (the private room) vs. booking seperately - basically at 105 days out will we know? I would hate to rely on the private palo lunch and then find out that we didn't get it and my booking window has passed.

OMG.. sorry.. I should have been more clear. Go ahead and book the regular ressie.. IF the inventory people give it to us, they move our ressie into the private dinning room. We wouldnt find out til like 30 days before I think. I just have to send it as soon as possible.. but will be booking Palo Brunch for sure on the 105th day out.

Sorry for the confusion. still book in case we dont get it.
