NYE Western Cruise 2008 - New Thread

We're home...tired but safe

I'm headed over to my school soon to see if I can get a couple more classes in. Mika is doing ok, she really needs to see the doc for her swelling - again - but I am being optimistic that she'll be ok.

We got our cruise package!!!

...now alls we need is that true itinerary

Our football team lost this weekend also. We always have a very tough schedule, but manage to make the playoffs. Our band did a great job and my son Brian did great with his solo! I think I cheered the loudest for him--everyone turned and looked at me.

I'm in the process of finagling my finances to pay off the cruise by the Sept date. I budgeted for October, but I don't want to miss out on the ability to book excursions at the 90 day mark. I've been ignoring the price of the two staterooms, but now I have to face it! Thank goodness my kids like ramen noodles, because that's what we're going to be eating breakfast lunch and dinner for a while!

Thats what Chel and I are doing too. But for a change I go to McDonalds and get the ketchup packs, go home, boil water and make tomato soup. Just like Campbells.

We took my mom to doctor and we had lunch out - dropped off mom and was planning on zipping by house pick up library books to take - we pulled up in driveway and found an injured bird just sorta sitting in front yard

Turns out it was a cooper's hawk - and we finally found a nature preserve over in the next county that would take him/her and nurse him/her back to health

Of course Kara wanted to keep him/her

and yeah - they are just sooooo cute together!!! so wish we could have gotten her on the ship at a decent rate so you all could meet her...another cruise i guess

Working my A off at the gym everyday! I think I'm falling for my trainer...he's an Isreali soldier who said that I'm so beautiful that it's a sin the way I haven't taken care of my body! (I'm not really falling for him, don't worry, he's about 29, too young for me!)

Aisling...Tigg is right...it is nice that you are taking the time to "TAKE CARE OF YOU"....keep up the good work!!!!

Yep just 10 more days...it's very exciting...meeting with a couple of my team mates tomorrow night to go over last minute details..... did i tell you all about the shirts i got everyone on my team? They are pink with Minnie on the front & the back says "The DZNY CHCS" in the waltograph font....& then underneath, it has the event - date - & city....of course we'll get photos & post later...

Tonite is back to school night...another late night for me....ugghhhh

Adrian told us last night he's moving back home!

He's realized that living in the city "part time" just isn't worth the expense~

He's also talking about going into the Coast Guard reserves! I am ok with it cause the CG is the only military branch that is pretty much guaranteed to stay stateside. Adrian is going to take the fact that they'll pay his college tuition and run with it...I am very proud of my Boy~
