Colleen - have FUN today at the Warped Tour!!!!

Thanx Brenda! The cool thing is that so many of the kids I worked with at the skatepark will be there...I will see tons of people I know, get to spend the day with my son, get the pictures I really wanted to take and hear some pretty good music all at the same time.

John has been wishy washy about what he was going to do today. He woke up deciding he was going to stay home. He knows I now have another obligation so he asked his Dad to go to the shore with him.

As far as the laundry thing...I am the type that packs a roll of quarters, those laundry soap cubes and a handful of dryer sheets. The laundry was quite close to our cabin last time so it was easy to go back and forth. We didn't spend much time on st thomas and st maarten, I think I did mine on our st maarten day.

I too did laundry on the ship, if you went before dinner or right after, it was pretty quiet. I have a feeling it may be more crowded because of the new airline rules. I also did some "dry cleaning" and the turnaround time is less than a day. I may do this again, as I have several pairs of pants that I like to wash on delicate and let hang dry, but don't want to have clothes hanging all over our room:laundy:

Considering what Aislings feet did to her goldfish, I don't want my laundry anywhere near her socks. :rotfl:

Don't make me post pictures of my feet! They're actually very cute!:cutie:

That drives home the difference between men and women doesn't it? You will never find a man that thinks he has cute feet.

As Elaine from Seinfeld said, men's parts are like a jeep.

BTW, my feet, more like Shrek's with a little Donkey mixed in.

I never saw the Seinfeld show, but I have a feeling I may not want to know what Elaine meant by her "men are like Jeeps" comment!

TGIF everyone! I think Jesse and I are going to go out to eat. We both love Mediterranean food, and it's so nice outside, not too hot/not humid, that we'll go for an outside table. BBL!

Tig, how was Warped? (What is Warped?)

Warped Tour is multiple stages for alternative music, some reggae, some rap, mostly hardcore stuff tho. I have about 650 pictures from today! I was there for the skateboarding competition taking promo shots. I am going to load them all into my photobucket, I can come back with the link when it's done if y'all want to see them.

Fred or Barney?
probably Barney...since he & i are about the same height

off to dinner soon with DH...but thought i'd do a quick run by....all's quiet here....Didn't get to do all 17 miles today...the gal with me today had a flare up of a badly sprained ankle from a volleyball game a couple of wks ago...so we found a spot for her to leave the trail & wait & rest while i went back to the starting point to get the car & go pick her up...i think i did 13 which is okay too = it was going to get really hot soon anyway...which it did...i stayed 'in' most of the day once home...it was a good day to get some housecleaning done...it's the garlic festival here - way too crazy out to go anywhere.....
hope all is well with all of you....BBL

Hi Brenda, did you have a good dinner with DH? I was wondering, how long does it take you to walk all those miles? I trying to wrap my mind around 17 miles, it seems like it's such a loooooooong distance!

my usual pace is 4 miles an hour.....today it was 4 hours too but only 13 miles...a lot of extra stops etc with her poor ankle....we still don't have the route & the schedule for our 3 days of walking but i've heard our 1st day could be 23 miles.....ohhhhh now that's a LONG timen & i don't know if we can maintain 4 miles/hour for that many miles.....i'll be countin on all of you to send me lots of P&PD!!!!:yay:

ps...dinner was good...we went for mexican - now i'm really FULL!!!!

4 mph is a great pace for walking, it is probally not possible to go much faster than that without breaking into a jog.

I know you said earlier that your height was more like Barney so I am assuming you are slightly vertically challenged, so your legs must be moving to maintain that pace. Good for you! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: That's cute!

Wanna laugh? Guess where Chad and Louise are? WDW! They went for a week to Universal, were having a great time, but they couldn't stand it, they went to WDW today! Did I raise my baby well, or what!

There is a bit of a backstory...two of Chad's best friends are CMs, and got him free one-day park hoppers, VIP seating for the Indiana Jones show, 5 Fastpasses, and one no-strings pass for Toy Story. These are the CMs that got us to open the Spectro parade, gave us a no-strings pass that we used on Expedition Everest, VIP access to Wishes, and let me conduct the MK train in 2006. They're both face characters, and I love them!!!

My kids really "get" Disney, and even without those perks, they are thrilled to be there. It was so not in their plans, so they're really excited. Chad calls me this morning and says, "ma guess what I'm looking at right now." It was the big Sorcerer Mickey hat! Dirty dogs!!!!!!!:rotfl:

Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement!

Was up at the crack of dawn this morning - our swim team hosted the Senior Olypmic Swim meet for Ohio - we got a kick out of one group's t shirts - on the back it said - Geezers Rule - youngest swimmer was 55 and oldest was 85

Then fed the kid and dropped her off at band camp - they go away for a week - stay at local college - live in dorms and practice from dawn to dark

Senior night is Wed night and the parent show is Thur night and then the kids are 'returned' to us

busy busy busy...Marla, do you have any younger children at home?

You are gonna have *such* a withdrawal when she goes to college...did Kara decide where she's going?

Aisling, Adrian was the same way - our children were absolutely raised perfectly...after almost a full week at Universal Adrian wasn't really happy with our trip until we made it over to the Kingdom~

OMG Chad went to college locally, as a comuter living at home, and I STILL had withdrawals! Just the fact that he was "all grown up" (sorta) was enough to tweak at my heart!

Marla, I LOVE the Geezer's Rule attitude of the senior citizen swimmers. WTG them for keeping active. I'm sure it's a great role model image for the young kids. I think if I'm able to see myself as they see themselves at that age, joking about Geezer's Rule, I think growing older will be ok.:thumbsup2

So what are you going to do while Kara is away? No swim meets or band practices to drive to!
