I do indeed know what you mean, but to tell you the truth, I got myself over that years ago. I just tell the jinx to F off before it even dares to come near me. So now after many years of keeping quiet in fear of the jinx, I share my news right from the start, and jinx be damned. If it doesn't work out, the people I told care about me, and will support me, sympathize with me, and urge me to go on. No shame in that. That's what friends are for.

, but most dress clothes are made of nylon or polyester and because of my skin allergies I can wear neither. Cotton or Lycra only - wanna challenge shopping for someone? Cotton tends to be casual, we need to find me pretty stuff that's still natural. Even shoes, natural materials only - which comes down to cotton canvas sneakers and suede and leather shoes

This is a linen skirt and the cardigan is a cotton/lycra spandex blend.

Ok, the dolphin swim is definitely out. I talked with my kids last night, and they want to do the ruins in Tulum.
So......I will be doing the cooking class in Cozumel, and then sight-seeing/shopping around town on my own while the rest of my crew does the trip to Tulum. Jesse very much wants to see the ruins, so we can't pass up this opportunity for him. So Cozumal plans are finalized!

In Cayman, we're doing the private charter boat with Anjelica's family. So that's also finalized.

Key West we'll be doing our own walking/trolley tour.

For our ADRS:
Dec. 25th Dinner at San Angel Inn in Epcot with the CP Package
Dec. 26th Lunch at 50s Prime Time in DHS

Dec. 26th evening we'll be hanging back at the WL having a little pre-cruise open-door party that the concierge is setting up for us.

The rest of our meals will be counter service, wherever.

Dec. 27th breakfast in the club lounge, and then off to the port.

Well gang, my Chad leaves for Rome at 9:30 tonight. Brenda, did you get my phone message? Louise is having such a hard time with this. She spent the night at my house last night, and took the day off from work today. We're going to miss him so much. He's going to have a big group of us seeing him off at the airport, and that should make it fun and lighten things up a bit so that Louise and I hopefully won't be crying like it's the end of the world. We're both very emotional, much to Chad's dismay!

So Happy Friday everyone, and if you remember, at 9:30 tonight, please send good thoughts Chad's way for a safe and successful time at school in Italy. Thank you!

You should do the ruins. It is very interesting. If you will do it I will do it too. Plus Colleen is going to do it. We will have a ball. You can do all that shopping later & anywhere.

Because we were unsure if we would be going on this trip, we havent really decided which tours we were going to do. I am thinking though, the Tulum ruins look great, I was there in 1995 w/a college girlfriend (our spring break) and then the island tour and butterfly farm in Grand Cayman perhaps. I did Sting Ray City in 1995.

For Key West, DH was stationed there for 2 yrs, so he said he wanted to show me around.

I have asked that I fly in the day before the cruise. Not sure if DCL will honor that, but I did let them know that if I missed any of my cruise because I was not allowed to leave earlier than the day of sailing, I would be EXTREMELY unhappy.

Just got off the phone w/DCL regarding my airline requests. You pay an additional $50/person to be specific. The lady that answered told me to be VERY specific, down to the airline and flight information that I want. I just sent the email request in. She said the earlier requested the better for them to get that request in.

I requested to fly in the morning before the sailing. I requested a nonstop direct flight from Boston to Orlando.. this will allow me time to visit Disney during the day (I would rent a car for the day to go..) and also time in case my flight is delayed due to weather in Boston. (praying for a mild winter)..

I also requested a direct nonstop flight back on 1/3. I forgot how early you can book a flight, so just in case 11 is ok, I gave them that info, let them know that I was unsure of their booking return flight requirements, then gave them another airline that left later that day like around 2ish.. I let them know that if they are unable/unallowed to book a different airline back, that I would be willing to stay til the following am for the next direct flight on that airline.

I was told that I would get a response w/in 2 days. I will let you know how that request goes. They are charging me $405/person to fly there.. The airlines for the same flights requested are up over $600/person. I checked and those flights are EMPTY!!! It was easier to count the number of reserved seats (10) than to count how many were available.

I didnt realize I could be soooo specific. I will let you all know how that goes, in case any of you are interested in using this service they offer.

Aisling & Colleen - our flight from Paris on the 27th arrives into JFK at noonish (12:10); it's on Air France - AF12 - i'm sure we'll go thru customs there...so would be closer to 1ish by the time we're thru???? & could come thru security to meet you....but we would have till about 3 - so a good two hours for lunch....

I can't even think about excursions till i get back from Italy....& then my serious cruise planning will begin

What kinda names you got on those linens outfits?

That's what I bought when I went to TJMaxx. A linen, just below the knee, aline skirt with a red camosol and white linen button down, chinese collar blouse with a tie I can tie in front or in back.

I got back my request lickidy split. Turns out I can have my request for an ADDITIONAL $771/PERSON!!! HELLO!?!?!?

What was told to me was $50/person to put in requests. I was never told it would be priced different. I have declined OBVIOUSLY, as I could get that air for FAR less then they just quoted.. because that $771 is on TOP of the $405/person that I was already quoted.

SOoooooo.. back to the drawing board... or, I will have to leave it in the hands of Disney to make my plans 30 days in advance of my trip.

Thanks Judy - it will be fun - & we are meeting Chad in Rome Thursday as we have some free time - i had hope to take him to dinner but his classes are in the evenings so hoping to meet up with himn around 1:30 - we'll have a couple of hours & take him to lunch any...will be good for Ryan to meet him & then on the 27th we'll get to meet Jesse too when they all come to JFK for our 5 hour layover....

well all - i'm actually going to go & relax with DH for the night....i;ve been up since 2 - at work since 4...& i'm beat - but was able to get everything done, so don't have to go in to ofc tomorrow....packing packing packing tomorrow....
