NYE Western Cruise 2008 - New Thread

Hi everyone!

Is the information on the website Anjelica started the one we will be using for fish extender lists, etc? I emailed her with our cabin number and sign up for FE a week ago and I never heard back (and the info hasn't changed on the roster, either). Will the information get posted here as well? I'm wondering when we will have a final number for the FE since I am thinking about what to bring for our gifts . . .

I really doubt they will do pirate night on New Year's eve . . . they will probably make that formal night and put pirate night the next night . . . it would be nice to know before we get there, but knowing DCL that might not be possible!

I agree, I doubt Pirate Night will be NYE. On our last NYE cruise, it was Formal night, and it was not originally supposed to be. They move them around, but they won't be kind enough to tell us ahead of time. I could almost guarantee it will be Formal Night, but hears some just in case!

I'm wondering that maybe DCL decided to do Pirate Night on NYE for fireworks reasons?? Do they do fireworks on NYE? If so, maybe they can't/won't do it on two separate nights, so that's the reasoning for combining the two celebrations? We're dressing for PN, so I'm really gong to try to get more info on this so I can plan accordingly.

Julie, Anjelica is probably busy right now with her brother who was badly wounded in Iraq and sent home. Also, I think Kelly offered to be the FE coordinator, and she doesn't have internet access at home on weekends. SO, I'll post an updated list here with the most current info I have. I'm on my way to the gym with Louise, so I'll do it as soon as I get back home.

I have to tell you all about the crazy night I had last night with my brother and Cory! It has to do with an opossum, the cemetery, and midnight! I'll be back soon!

We are in cabin 2608, with late seating . . .

I just wanted to be sure that the final fish extender list is going to be somewhere -- either on that site or here. I did the FE list on the Eastbound PC cruise (with over 130 cabins participating!) and it is frustrating to get the number of gifts you think you are going to need only to have the list updated or increased in the last few weeks. So it's not that I am in a rush to get my updated info on the other site, just that I wanted to be sure that site is still active.

Also, as I said before, I know that Silmarg and family are no longer on this cruise . . . I met them on the PC and they had canceled this one, unfortunately.

With final payment coming up soon, we should have a pretty good idea of who is coming within the next month or so.

That's terrible about Anjelica's brother! I hope he recovers fully.

I think pirate night is being shown as NYE because it is always on Cozumel night on the Western cruises . . . but when they get around to looking at where NYE falls, I think they will switch it. My understanding was that the main thing for NYE was a balloon drop in the atrium rather than fireworks . . .

The first post here should be most accurate...

Check the first page against the FE list on the website. If anyone's name is not on Trinibjill's roster but on the FE - take them off. Then your count should be accurate.

Hey other cruisers! Make sure you do the same so Julie can make it ON your lists ... just sayin ...

I am still trying to decide on Palo reservations but I am pretty sure we want to do brunch on the 1st. Our friends are cruising with us and it is there first cruise so I have been trying to keep them updated on what to prepare for. I am thinking about the fish extender exchange. I will have to let you know in the next few weeks. I just changed jobs and I am worried about having time to get everything ready.
