NYE Raglan Road

We just added on a day to our trip... Dec 31st. We will not be able to check into AKL until the next day, so we are staying offsite that night. Wondering if Raglan Road would be a worth while experience for NYE?
We don't have a car, so we will be relying on Uber to get around. Will it be too much of a zoo to get around and get back to our hotel? I realize it will be busy and chaotic, but if it's a great experience and lots of fun... it would be worth it.

Where offsite are you staying? If in the DS area, it might be doable but be aware that after the ball drops, I wouldn't be surprised if it was in "surge pricing"

Based on last year, they celebrate the new year twice, first at 7 PM (Irish New Year) then again at midnight. Reservations are strongly suggested. I would TOTALLY bail at 8 or 9 after the first new year's celebration.
