Nye @ Mgm?

HI does anyone have any info on NYE at MGM? I was told that some really great bands have played in the park in the past years (besides Pleasure Island). When do they normally release info about the entertainment for NYE?

We were going to go to Epcot for NYE but now we might change to MGM. What other fun activites happen at MGM that night?

I've only seen Bill Nye at Epcot

Sorry - it was the first thing that popped into my head. I don't know about NYE at MGM.

We've chosen to be at MGM twice for NYE. They usually do have good bands and our (then) teens really liked that. Since you'll probably be there most of the day on NYE you MUST make dining reservations as soon as you are able. We made lunch, dinner, and even an afternoon snack reservation. This way we were assured of a quiet place to sit. I never really felt that MGM seemed overly full. And it was fun to go and see the Osborne lights (tho they won't be there this year). We stayed on site both years and got there early in the day and rode rides. We then left and returned before dinner. It was fun and we'd go there again if we were ever at WDW during the holidays.

When do they normally announce what bands play for NYE? Wow, I can't decided between Epcot and MGM now for sure!

where is it that the bands play in the park?

Oh also does anyone know what time Fantasmic is shown at for NYE? Is it usually just one showing? Is there also another firework show for midnight? Oh and is there a countdown as well?

Sorry for the questions, I just really can't make up my mind!
