NYE: Jambo vs Kidani

Hi all!

We are planning a trip to AKL during NYE this year. Taking quite a few teenagers and we are debating on Kidsni vs Jambo - 2 bedroom. I’ve only ever stayed Jambo and was wondering what you all think would be best for this age group.

The 2-bedrooms in Kidani Village will have 3 full bathrooms where those in Jambo House will only have 2.

All 2-bedrooms in Jambo House are lock-offs (Studio & 1-bedroom w/connecting door) while Kidani Village has both lock-offs and dedicated 2-bedrooms. The dedicated 2-bedroom will have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom where the lock-off has a queen and a sleeper sofa since it's a studio.

The 2-bedrooms in Kidani Village will also be around 100 sq feet larger than those in Jambo House (Values at Jambo are even smaller).

With “quite a few” teens, Kidani for sure, due to the three full baths. And the option for dedicated 2BR vs. lockoff helps too - only one foldout couch to deal with in the dedicated!

Plus if you’re the only adults, the primary BR and its ensuite bath are much more private at Kidani. The primary at Jambo doesn’t even have an ensuite entrance to its bath - you’d have to cross a hallway and be clearly visible from the living room while doing it.

Room: Kidani wins as noted above. Resort for NYE, Jambo wins but you can easily get to it from Kidani. It is Jambo that has the bigger celebration, including a band in the lobby and other activities
