We're planning on going to rope drop for EMH at Animal Kingdom on 1/31. I didn't schedule any FP+ for that park since we're hopping to Epcot right after an 11:00 ADR at Yak and Yeti. If we get there at 7:00am, what would your order of rides/shows be if you wanted to ride Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest (single rider isn't an option since we have two younger kids), Dinosaur and Lion King (10:00am show) Thanks!

We were at DAK for NYE last year and arrived between 7 and 8 AM.

Regardless of the order I don't think you'll have any trouble doing all 3 of those rides in plenty of time to line up for the 10 AM Lion King show. I would probably start at EE and Dinosaur if only because the Safari may not start right at 7 because it may not be light enough out yet. You will want to get in the standby line for the Lion King show early (not much later than 9:30) because there probably will be a lot of people with FPs attending the show.

There simply aren't enough people who are willing to get to a park at 7AM, and DAK will be by far the least crowded of the parks on NYE. Most people will be heading to one of the parks that will be open until or past midnight.

You are wise to save your FPs for the second park.

Thanks for your advice about waiting to ride the safari! I didn't even think about the light factor. I'm thinking we'll start with Dinosaur, head over to Everest and then do the safari right before Lion King :)

Wisblue: I also just wanted to say thanks for pointing out that Safari won't run until it's light. Didn't think of that either and we are also planning on spending NYE at AK and were going to do Safari first (at RD). We'll move that down the list a bit. :cool1:

I would still try to get to the Safari before 8 AM when the park opens to all guests and FP returns start.

I don't remember exactly what time we got there last year but it was sometime between 7:30 and 8 AM and the line for the safari was negligible.
