I currently have two rooms booked for NYE 2021 as I try to decide between them: 1 bedroom savanna at Jambo and 1 bedroom standard at SSR. This is a one night only stay as we are moving to BCV on 1/1 for 7 nights. I’m totally fine with staying at either one but I need to drop one of these rooms.

Our kids are young (6 and 8) and will never stay up late enough for NYE fireworks but I expect that they will want to do some type of NYE activity at some point during the evening. Which would you recommend I keep for NYE and why?

Moderator: I wasn’t sure where to put this but please move it wherever it belongs.

I would vote for SSR for it's proximity to DS. Not sure if DS will have much extra going on, but at least you can go over there and explore for a bit.

That’s why I was keeping SSR before deciding. But then I started thinking (horrible habit) about what might be more fun for the kids and animals are always a win. But they like DS, too. I just can’t decide.

With young kids, I don't think you can take advantage of any NYE things at DS. I would expect DS to be very crowded even earlier on NYE. I would pick AKV. I would expect them to have some sort of kid-friendly NYE activity earlier in the evening.

Thank you, that is good to know about the DS NYE events. I don’t relish the idea of maneuvering the kids through crowds at DS after having flown in earlier in the day. I will stick with AKV. They’ll be totally content doing whatever is offered at Jambo.

I vote for AKV too because of the kids´ ages. DS may be too crazy for young kids even earlier in the evening.

I would go with SSR. I recall that they used to have a NYE party with a DJ at the Congress Park pool area but I'm not sure if they will have it this year.
