Nyc?

We did the Magic out of NYC summer of 2012. With the exception of CC, the itinerary (Bahamas) was B-O-R-I-N-G. Now if they could change Nassau & Port Canaveral to Bermuda, that would be great!! If they offer 9 day cruises, they have the opp to go to some decent Caribbean islands (RCI does out of NJ).

As a previous poster mentioned in 2012 they did New England/Canada, Bahamas and 2 night to nowhere. Folks began hoping that DCL would do NYC to Bermuda, as well. Others cruise lines go to Bermuda out of the NY/NJ area, as well as, Baltimore. There are ten of thousands of Disney and DCL fans in the NY, NJ, CT and Pa area that would jump on a NYC cruise. I remember people from Massachusetts, as well as, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia taking advantage of the one niece of a NY departure.......no airfare...... That is why so many of us are disappointed!

I think it wasn't clicking for me b/c it is only a 21 hour drive from NY to PC, but I wasn't thinking of those folks a day's drive to NYC!
Wouldn't any northern city do?

I would be happy with Boston since it's only an hour away. But I don't see it happening.

This Jersey girl had her hopes up that the TA would originate in NY...

Some had asked if it would be possible to board on NY though... Would save the trip south...

Here's what I don't get... I understand that Europe sells. But let's say the Magic does indeed come back to NY and stay there for a month or two. The current schedule puts it in mid September. These would be nice fall foliage trips to Canada (remember Quebec was in talks with DCL).

But they would miss the boat by not coming in August and get the tons of families who on the last week of August head south. Most of the north east start classes after Labor Day (and in NJ at least, those last two weeks have nothing in the form of summer camps - hence vacation time). WDW already goes into savings schedule since the rest of the country is back in school. Oddly DCL prices for the Fantasy have not gone down (at least based on 2014 prices) until the last week in August.

They would have sold out in a day even if they had xmas prices. Don't get it really...
