NYC World of Disney Store Closing..when!?

hello!
I think i am probably slow on this news, but does anyone know when the World of Disney is closing in NYC? I read that it will not be open in 2010 but will it be there through December?

I was just in there a few days ago, and I didn't see any indication or hear anything about the store closing. I hope it's not true...they get great business, it's always crowded in there.

there was another post on teh dis aboput this in October i just found as well..i guess they are opening just a reg. disney store near times square at some point..but no more world of disney

The store is supposedly closing by January. I was in there today and everything that says World of Disney NYC is 40% off (except for Holiday items). It seems that they have started the process of selling off anything that can't be shipped to the parks.

It's too bad, it was a great store to find theme park merchandise and items that are a little more unique then what could be found at the Disney Store.
