NYC Restaurant help

Wow! Thank you all for your recommendations! I see a few places that will work for us. One question.....is Becca children friendly?

I would say it's family friendly. When we went the last time we were a large group that included a few kids and it was fine. We sat upstairs which was much quieter. I don't recall there being a "kid menu", but they accommodated the kids with plain pasta and tomato sauce which they enjoyed.

Keep in mind that most NYC restaurants will be more kid-friendly during off hours...especially during the holidays. Around Rockefeller Center or Times Square they get super crowded...the servers will be a lot more patient with the kids and accommodating on a Thursday for late lunch than they would be at 8:00 on Sat night, kwim?

And just to throw in another option if you have a lot of "carnivores" with you

from their website...
"The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc., in succession, to each diner individually right at their table, thus there is not a traditional menu. The restaurant features a fixed-price continuous tableside service."

They also have a huge salad-bar type thing in the center of the room that has side dishes and non-meat selections. We really liked it.

Becco's is child friendly especially the earlier you go. They were very accomodating to my 4 children's desires!!(made plain pasta with butter for 2 of them) and the other 2 loved sharing the lasagna.
Their website is so SLOOOOW or else I would have posted the menu link.
