Me, dd, and 12 others from work (including their kids) are going to NYC on Monday for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. We have about 2 hours to kill before lunch. Someone suggested FAO (there will be 6 boys and girls ages 5-10) so American Girl is out. Is FAO good, or someplace else? Can we kill a couple hours there?

The Toysrus in Times Square has an indoor ferris wheel. And it's a HUGE store.

FAO isn't what it used to be. The Nintendo Store is fun.

Or for free you can walk around Central Park- go skating at Wollman Rink!! (way better and cheaper than the rockefellar rink imho)

Have a great time.

there is a world of disney in that neighborhood. its actually a little closer to radio city than fao and if you're on the disboards, i'm sure you are disney fan. I was soooo impressed the first time i walked in there, its a little bit of disney in the city

have fun!

I know you said your have 2 hours to kill BEFORE lunch, but if you can swing it, go to Union Square to Max Brenners. You will think you've died and gone to dessert heaven!!! I can't wait to go back!

I think looking at all the window displays on 5th Avenue would be fun. Top of the Rock is right there as well. MoMa is a couple of blocks away.

I'd second Top of the Rock. You can buy timed tickets in advance.

I would go to Rockefeller Center and see the tree since it seems like you are there to see Christmas things. And on your way there you can see all the window displays along 5th ave.
