We're on a 2017 Canadian sailing out of NYC. I've been to NYC several times but never spent the night there. (I take day trips in on the train).

It's time to start planning and I need a pre night hotel near the Manhattan Pier. All adults, doesn't have to be fancy but I'm not bargain basement shopping either.

I'll be flying into NYC the day before the cruise. Thanks!

what time of year r u sailing....rates vary TREMENDOUSLY in NYC based on date.
Second, unless your intention is to hoof it to the pier, ALL hotels in NYC are just a short cab ride away from the pier.....you don't necessarily want to be in the DIRECT NEIGHBORHOOD by the piers...jmnsho

Close to the pier and a decent hotel (or at least I've heard decent) is The Skyline Hotel. I use to live a block away from it and used it for parking for my car sometimes. Like all NYC hotels WiFi is not included and it is a little dated but I haven't heard anything super negative about it. It would be a super quick cab to the pier since I would not suggest lugging your suitcases on the streets even though it is only 2 blocks. The biggest reason is you have to cross a "highway" to get to the piers. I don't know anything about the hotels right next to the piers but I imagine they won't be much cheaper then anything else as they probably adjust their pricing based on cruise dates which would be pretty easy for them to follow.

are you planning broadway or something like that the night before?
if so, i would pick a hotel near whatever it is you're planning to see so that it's an easy walk to the theater...
that's what we always do...
