Just found out I'll be at a conference from Wed-Sat with loads of time off but not sure what to do with it:) Both myself and my traveling partner have done all the kid stuff (American Girl, BaB, etc) and most of the tourist stuff (Empire, Staten Island, 5th Ave). Any ideas for us girls? I'm thinking Broadway, Chinatown for lunch? But definately newbies if you don't count trips with chitlens:laughing: Budget is not very big but we can afford a play, a decent lunch...Help please!

Go see the tree and maybe ice skate? I'd rather eat in Little Italy than Chinatown. I'm sure there are some good places but it kinda is too intense for me. Little Italy and a nice glass of vino!!

Can you recommend any specific restaurants? Say in the dinner + 2 glass of vino for under $50-60 range? each that is...

It's a family run restaurant (host, some of the waitstaff, cooks). They immigrated from Italy and make the real deal. They make the pasta fresh everyday, yummy, and we get the housewine by the carafe. The prices are moderate. I like to sit in the back indoor garden area, but DH prefers the front dining room.

It's in the West Village/Soho area. It's really close to the Angelika theater if you would be interested in catching a movie. They have a lot of independent films that can be interesting. You could also go to the art galleries nearby.

Have a fun time wherever you end up!!!!!!!!!

This italian restaurant is in the Broadway/Theater district and pasta is their specialty-very reasonable. Owner Lidia has a cooking show on PBS that we love.

Personally-I love walking through Central Park.:)
