Parkway Parking has an indoor garage across the street from the Manhattan cruise terminal, and they only charge $21 a day. I was looking at paying $280 to park at the port, but my total with Parkway is $194.73. I just saved $85. They count a day as midnight -11:59PM, so I don't have to rush to get my car on the Saturday we get back, because the day is paid for up to midnight.

The address is 668 W 58th St. I just booked a spot this morning, so as of now there is availability for Saturday's cruise.

Just be aware it's about 10-12 blocks north of where the actual cruise port is (which is around 46th St.).

She said it is across the street. They don't offer shuttle service because people can walk. Maybe the address on my confirmation is the office address. Either way, 10-12 NY city blocks is not that much of a walk.

With luggage it is.

It is across the street from the upper end of the entire port complex. Pier 88 - which is usually where Disney is - is around 46th. It's not hugely far, but these are slightly longer blocks as it's getting out of the grid. And the West Side is DEFINITELY a place you want to wait for the light to cross - and hustle when you have it. (There are usually a few incidents of seamen getting hit by cars when they decide to play frogger during Fleet Week.)

For saving $85, I can drop my family off with the luggage, go park, and walk back freely. I just googled the city view and it really does not look that far from where the port parking is.

May I request that you come back after your cruise and report on how far it winds up being?

On Google Maps its showing as more than half a mile. One route has it as .6 of a mile and another as .7 of a mile.

Generally speaking 20 blocks is one mile, so 58th to 46th would be in that range of 0.6 to 0.7 of a mile.

Another option in the area is Park Right. you drive to the parking lot and then they drop you off and take your car back and park it. getting off the ship you can walk it or cab it. Its on 43rd. Not sure if you have ever parked/drive to the NYC port but that area can get very congested. I've done it a bunch of times on different lines and IMO its worth the extra $75-$100 for the week to park right at the port. It's so much more convenient, its right above the check-in terminal. I've done both ways and sometimes it can take 45 mins or more between driving/traffic/walking and not fun in rain/heat/cold. you might bump into a street festival, bike race, protest, fleet week, or who knows what.
