NY Marathon

Has anyone done the NY before??
I am thinking about entering the lottery and was wondering what the course was like etc?

I highly recommend the book "A Race Like No Other...26.2 Miles Through the Streets of New York " by Liz Robbins. I will post the link for it on Amazon.

The book chronicles the course, mile for mile. It is interesting and I enjoyed it. I entered the NYC Marathon lottery this spring. I am hopeful for next year, but most likely it may be until 2012.

Thanks for the info about the book.
I hope you get through this year.
I have sent an email asking if wheelchairs cout ubder the automatic time entry as the runners do.......if they do I will get in as my time was fast enough, if not then I will have to keep everything crossed.

Just found out that the automatic entry based on time is only for runners!!!!!, so its everything crossed that I get through in the lottery.

Good luck with the lottery! Keep trying though at least you'll get there eventually!
