NWA Companion Fare

I am trying to find a cheap flight out of Buffalo to Orlando on August 31 - Sept 4. Under the promotions for NWA the Companion Deal comes up....this is what is says:

Companion Fare: 35% off Every Day fares when you travel with a family member or friend. 14-day advance purchase required, 30-day maximum stay, including a Saturday-night, and no Sunday travel. It's the best way to save.

However when I tried typing my dates in with only one person and then again with two people and I still get the same price per ticket. Have any of you used this and if so am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.

It could be that the special is not available for the dates/times you chose. Try the same thing (one ticket then two tickets) with some different dates or times. If you still don't have any luck, I could try calling, or else see what happens if you to Orbitz for the two tickets. Sometime Orbitz recoginizes this and will pick the flights that have the special available.

I booked through NW. When I put in 1 or 3 got the higher price - 180.00 from Buffalo to Orlando, wasn't till I put in 2 that I got both tickets for a total of 240.00. I didn't book over the Internet as I was worried if I did 2 and then tried 1 that they wouldn't both be available so I called and booked over the phone for the same rate. I have found, that just like Disney, some reps know what is going on and some don't.
