Nwa Airbus Question

The last time we flew on an airbus was with Continental and the arm rests did not raise. My husband is plus size and buys 2 seats so as not to infringe on other passengers. We are looking at taking a NWA flight and they list the planes as Airbus 319. Has anyone flown on NWA recently or will in the near future and can you check if the arm rests raise?

I would greatly appreciate your replies.

Their arm rests do raise, plus there's a little more leg room between the seats than some of NW's fleet.

I like their airbus plane. It's more comfortable than some of their fleet.

herc.

And how, pray tell, does the average non-frequent flier get row 5? Isn't that kinda like winning the lottery?

Not necessarily! On United the bulkhead row is 6; I sit in 6c every week. But many times I upgrade at the last minute.

So a non-frequent flyer may not have a seat assignment 45 minutes before the flight (and may think that they are sitting in the back of the bus with a middle seat, if they ever get a seat assignment). Many non-frequent United flyers do not have advance seat assignments

But my upgrade clears, and 6C comes available, and the lucky non-frequent flyer gets the seat. :)

Any row that seatguru says that there are tables in the armrests, the divider will not move. If he needs a belt extender, they will not allow him in the exit row.

Yes, I've tried that too - many, many times. Usually, if a good seat up front clears just before a flight, it goes to another elite passenger with a seat further back in the cabin. I wouldn't want to get the OP's hopes up.

but I don't think that we are getting their hopes up - we are telling OP that they shouldn't sit in a bulkhead or exit row

You are correct that chances are slim that they will get these seats, especially on NWA. But then again, we don't know if they have status with NWA. If one of them does, then they could well have access to those seats, which would not suitable

I do not want a bulkhead seat nor do I need an exit row seat. I wat seats where the arm rests raise - for example if I purchase seats A B and C which are together, I would want the armrest to raise between A&B.

Thanks for respones.

And now you know NOT to take a bulkhead or exit row, even if it is offered to you
