I'm looking for a birthday (or graduation) gift for DDIL. She is doing graduate work in nutrition and I thought that maybe some software would be a good idea. Does anyone here use software that does any/all of this?

calculates nutrition information
re-calculates for more/less servings
stores recipes
suggests recipes based on a few ingredients

I tried doing a Google search and came across one called BigOven . . . . . has anyone heard of it? I'm wondering if it is as good as it looks.

TIA

Hi! I have a program called MasterCook. It is produced by a company called Sierra home. I really like it. I can type in my own recipes and the program will give nutritional analysis. It has a database of recipes that come with the program too. However, I don't think it can suggest a recipe based on a few ingredients.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Lisa! I thought that was the name of it! I tried doing a search on MasterCook but am having trouble finding where to buy it. Everything I got this morning said it was discontinued.

Have you had yours a while? Do you know of someone who carries it?

Hi! I got my MasterCook a few years ago at Costco. I don't know if they still carry it.
