I am thinking about joining nutri system. Has anyone done this? What do you think of the food? How does it compare to other programs? They are offering 20% right now. Is that a good deal?

I have been doing it for 2 weeks and am transitioning myself to weight watchers. I thought the food tasted good. My only reason for going to another plan is I want the variety. The veggies on NS are very limited in selection. Having the prepared food was convienant, but when you are out running errands it was a nightmare. I lost 8lbs in 8 days and my sister lost 7. I thought that was about the same as WW, so they are definately in the ball park.
Hi - I thought some of the food was okay, but I wasn't generally happy with it (especially the dinners). Plus, I figured that it wasn't "real world" food and, unfortunately, I live in the real world. I think following a program like NutriSystem is a great thing to do to get yourself started and then maybe transition to another program like Faireygod Mother is doing, though. It really helps you to get into the mindset of changing your eating habits - which is generally what most people I've talked to (including myself - not that I talk to myself . . . ) say they really need to do. However, I refuse to use the "D" word - diet. For me, I'm watching my fat and calories, etc. and working out 5 days a week. I've lost about 12 pounds in the past month. But, everyone has a plan that works best for them . . .
Whatever you decide to do, remember - YOU'RE WORTH IT and YOU CAN DO IT!!!
