Nutella

I-HOP has these crepes filled with nutella and sliced bananas topped with strawberry sauce and whipped cream. They are SO GOOD! I can convince myself they're healthy because of the bananas...

Just thinking about that makes me happy! And it's always nice to start your day with a 500 calorie breakfast! :thumbsup2

I'm not overweight, but I did just buy the stuff this week.

Get back to me in a month. ;)

It's a hazelnut spread. :goodvibes

Oh, great, you just had to put a picture of it - now I must go have some.:)

ashleyrm- You're messing with my mind! First, the label. Now, the snack! Evil!

I've only had Nutella once. I know better than to purchase it and have it at hand. I have enough trouble with peanut butter!:lovestruc

I just caught it on TV, they make it sound like it's a health snack....

It is healthy...Nutella puts you into a good mood, and being in a good mood is healthy for you. ;)

It could be healthy.

I had some spread on a slice of whole grain bread that, normally, would have tasted like cardboard, but was packed full of vitamins. I ate it at 8am. I wasn't hungry again until 6pm.

It sticks to you, that's for sure, and makes something that would normally taste like total crap manageable.

Like I said though....part way through it, the sweetness started to get to me, so I think I need to spread a little less on the bread. It looked so good, I thought slathering it on was a good idea. In my case, not so much.

Either way, got me to eat healthy, nasty-tasting bread and I wasn't hungry the entire day after it.

I've told my girls if I ever get another dog that I want a chocolate colored dog and I will name it "Nutella". :thumbsup2
This stopped me in my tracks! It is seriously the best dog name ever!!

When I eat Nutella, I start out being responsible. That is, get out the jar and the whole wheat (notice I said whole wheat, lol!) bread. Spread some. Close the jar. Put it away. Enjoy the bread and nutella...and then, a little while later, creep back to the jar with a spoon. ROFL!

I didn't read the whole thread, so someone may have said this already, but it is AWESOME on graham crackers.

There is a place at the beach I go to every year that used to make a nutella shake! I never got to try to and I didn't see it on the board this year. :(

I do believe that i have found my Disboards Soulmates!:love:

I love it in crepes with some shredded coconut. Or with I just spoon it out of the jar.

i found nutella through a friend back in high school. i went to governor's school for the month of july where i had lost at least 10 lbs while there. one of my friends there introduced me to it. when i got home i bought nutella and subsequently gained the 10 lbs back + another 20 lbs. i like to blame it all on nutella. had it not been for that delectable food i would have never become as fat as i once was.

i refuse to even look at it in the store now, because i know the danger eating it with a spoon (or on saltines) can bring! :lmao:

I love Nutella. Discovered it in my teens when I was staying in Germany -- yum. I rarely get it because my kids devour it. But, when I do get it I like to make crescent rolls with a dollop of Nutella in them. double yum

Oh man...walking around Europe getting waffles/crepes/croissants with Nutella.:cloud9:

Love it!

Ok question -

I would bet very few of you Nutella lovers are overweight. Am I right? I'm so flippin' curious. So curious.

Theory - the love and adoration of food has less to do with weight than people think. Quite possibly the opposite.

Ok carry on. I love how much you love it. :lmao:

Me - not really. But it's in my house - I going to give it a retry. I haven't had it since I was a child.

Even though I gained 10 pounds this summer, I'm not overweight. I just need to get these 10 Nutella pounds off. I'm sure my weight gain was due to a combination of all of the great fresh fruit available and Nutella. Nutella is very good on strawberries. You can't really dip in Nutella, but you can spread some on a strawberry. Or, as I discovered, you can warm up the Nutella in the microwave and then you CAN dip your strawberries! :thumbsup2

Just a dollop??? Are you nuts?? You gotta get it all in there.

As to the poster who asked if we're overweight in our Nutella love, I'm not. I'm a fairly average size, 5'6 and wear usually a size 8 in pants. It's not like I go through a jar of Nutella a day, and I'd say on the average piece of toast, I use less then what the serving size is listed as anyway. Besides, I eat fairly healthily every where else, I know that I'm going to cave when it comes to certain things, so I'm careful in other places.

My healthy snack is those whole wheat rounds toasted with Nutella and

marshmallow fluff :rotfl:

YUMMMMMMMMMMMM

I'm now sat here with my nutella and a spoon :lovestruc

This thread has made me so happy! I've had the worst day ever (put diesel into my car instead of petrol :sad2: and then the rental car I borrowed got rear-ended :scared1:) but nutella and fellow nutella lovers have made it a little better!

I second the Nutella on graham crackers! Very nice!
