Good Morning Everyone,

I'm still nursing but I have to do something. I'm so heavy i'm miserible. Anybody out their nursing and losing weight?

I've been nursing my baby since she was born. She's now 4 months. I know it's helping me lose. Although I haven't always been eating the BEST foods for me every day, I have been eating smaller portions. Everybody's different. Have you considered going to your doctor and asking about a diet plan? Have confidence in yourself and always know that you are NOT alone! :)

When I was nursing I went on WW before our trip to Vega for Dh's work. I lost 20 lbs in 4 months but afterward I couldn't get myself to count points again. I like WW but counting drove me crazy on obsessing on what I was going to eat.

Good Luck! :goodvibes I EN nursed all my girls and ended up gaining weight while nusing (preggo weight was alway off soon after birth). I wouldn't change it for the world but I did eat like a horse while I nursed.

Thanks guys. I'm always so hungry. I don't remember being this hungry all the time when I was'nt nursing. The same thing happeind with my first baby. I gained weight when I was nursing. I had gestational diabetes and with both of my pregnancey's. I only gained 10 to 15 lbs each. My problem is after. Mayby it's the the stress that makes me eat more. That and the fact that both of my babys are not sleepers. So i'm up around the clock. PaulaSue can you join WW while nursing? I tried to join Ediets and they said I had to finish nursing. Oh well. I'm going to walk at least 3 times a week and cut back what I eat. Good luck to us all.

I can lose weight while nursing (am nursing a 6 month old right now) but I lost weight a lot faster when I formula fed my first two.

I am more hungry when nursing and I never let myself go hungry. I just try to fill up the hunger with healthy choices - like a banana instead of chips and dip. (baby doesn't need chips anyway! lol)

Good luck! It can be hard to not reach for fast, fattening food when nursing hunger strikes! lol

I always found it hard to lose the last 15 pounds of weight while nursing. I just can't do it! I crave way to many carbs. I get jealous whenever I see a bone-skinny nursing mom. How do they do it??

Well, I'm not nursing anymore and yes, finally I'm loosing my last 15 pounds.

7 more pounds to go for a goal of 143 -- 5 ' 8".

I am nursing too. I know how miserable this weight is! It must be great for the women who actually loose while nursing. So, about WW, can nursing moms join?

I know that nursing moms can join weight watchers, and they have a different scale so that you have more points/calories to account for the nursing. I did weight watchers as my son was finishing up nursing, and didn't get any extra points. I think if the infant is mainly nursing, and not yet eating solids, is when you get the extra points. It's hard enough to take care of an infant, let alone try to lose weight also. Hang in there. You can do it. Good luck to you.
