Nurses going in May for AACN's NTI? Plans??

Hi Everyone! I am one of the many critical care nurses going to anaheim for a large national convention in May. I am trying to see if there are other nurses going??? Does anyone have any suggestions for fun or unusual things to do the week before Memorial Day?

Hi, I'm also going. I won free admission at the 2004 Convention that could be used in 2006. Have you been before?? It's very good and it makes you feel proud to be an ICU nurse!!! We work very hard and are not often appreciated as the patients are too sick and usually don't remember that part of their hospitalization. We're thinking of taking in a Dodgers game one night. We're from Boston and alot of the Ex Red Sox players are on the Dodgers.

I'm glad to see I am NOT the only Dis fan, who is also an ICU nurse. I attended NTI in Orlando in 2004, so I know what you are talking about- yes, it makes you proud to be a nurse.

I used to live in MA- moved to Chicago about 3 years ago. I love the Sox!- and not the white sox- I always forget that when I say "sox" here, people think I'm talking about the White Sox.

I was hoping to get a group of Dis Nurses together- we'll see what happens! Thanks for the reply!

Where's everyone staying?? I'll be at Candy Cane Inn. I've read so much about it, I had to try it. I'm flying into LAX Sunday Noon.

I booked my room through hotwire and am staying at Crowne Plaza down the street. I am coming in on the 19th- spending the weekend with friends and then going home on Thursday.
Glad to see I am not the only Dis fan going!


Oh- and I am spending one night at the Grand Californian and having dinner at Napa Rose

I am flying into Long Beach on Friday the 19th and staying at Doubletree Guest Suites at the convention center. The hotel just opened - I hope it is good!!!

The preconferences are 5/20 - 5/21. 5/21 - 5/25 is the actual convention.

That's funny, none of us are actually staying at the pre-selected hotels!! I was so tempted to stay at Crowne Plaza when hotwire had that low rate last year but I waited too long. I'm flying back to Boston Friday night 5/26. I'm thinking of staying in LA near Lax on Thursday night. It should be fun. I havn't been to Southern CA and Disneyland since 1981 and barely remember it.
