Nursery question for first time cruise?

Hi there, DH and I are very interested in booking a dinner at Remy on our cruise in August. We have 2 kids who will be almost 6 and 21 months. I am assuming the kids club and nursery are open during dinner hours? My older kid will be fine either way, but I am wondering about the hours the nursery is open and also whether they'd do dinner and bedtime at the nursery if we asked, or if they'd just keep her awake? She pretty much already eats table food like we do, but would we have to provide a meal for her to have in the nursery or what?

I believe in the nursery you must bring whatever food you want them to feed your child. I'm not sure whether they provide a meal in there (like they do in Oceaneer's). Yes, they will put your child down for bedtime, if you request it. Or keep her up, if that's what you want.

Nursery hours are pretty much all day (roughly 9:00 am to Midnight). There's a maximum number of hours you can pre-book (before the cruise) based on how long your cruise is, but once onboard, if there are available hours you can book more.

Awesome, thanks. I guess we'll shoot for an early dinner so as not to disrupt the kids' bedtime too much. (This is when I wish they had something like Kids Nite Out for cruises, though I understand why the limitations.)

Oh, and to clarify - ODD will be almost 6 years old, YDD almost 2 (21 months).

Well, in Oceaneer's Club (ages 3-12) they do serve dinner, and there are bean bag chairs that some kids crash out on if they're in there in the evening. One note, the dinner time is one set time, and not necessarily during YOUR dinner seating. It's noted in the Navigator when it is.

Hi, we used the nursery on the Dream back in November. They WILL provide a dinner and/or snacks at various times. You'll fill out a slip noting if there is anything your child should not have. If you have a baby on a bottle or baby food, that you do have to supply. It's open quite late, but certainly over the dinner hour. We took our daughter (2) to dinner with us the first night, but she didn't last long, so she went to the nursery the rest of dinner that night as well as two other nights. She as far happier doing crafts and playing in there then waiting for us to finish up. :)

Dinner in the nursery is bought over from the Oceaneer Lab. So whatever food is being served there will be offered to the babies too if that's what you want, but check the navigator for dinner time (usually it's 6-6.30pm). However the nursery are more flexible with offering other food stuff unlike the club/lab. You just need to arrange that with them.
