Hi:

I am not an owner, but hope those of you that are can anwer this. We were interested in renting a villa for Oct 8-12. We have five in our party, and unfortunately, many of the one bedrooms can only accomodate 4. Could a child sleep on a pallet in a one bedroom or are there strict occupancy limits? We looked at renting a regular room at the BeachClub where the occupancy is 5 people, so I do not see how it could be harmful to have a fifth in a one bedroom. Thank you for your help.

DVC's official line is that a 1 br at BCV will only sleep 4 plus a child under 3 in a pack n play. However, it has been reported here on the Dis that MS is allowing 5 on the reservation. Extra bedding or a cot will not be provided for the extra person. The only 1 br that "officially" sleep 5 with the extra sleeper pull out chair at WDW are at BLT and AKV, and VGC at Disneyland.

Note that most of DVC is probably booked up for October. BCV is full. There might be availability at SSR. Of course, you could always get lucky at one of the other resorts, but don't count on it.

Thank you for responding to my question. The answers were very helpful.

:woohoo:WOW you guys had me nervous for a minute. We are confirmed at BCV for NYE week for a party of five, as it states on my confirmation. So it definitely is allowed. We will be taking an aerobed with us for one of my teens to use.

As occupancy discussions are a hot and debated topic here o the DVC Boards, we limit them to this thread: DVC Occupancy

You may continue the discussion there, if you wish.

Thanks
