My family, two adults, 4 kids (late teens), are planning a june stay in the cabins for 9 nights. My problem is that the grand parents would like to come down for a four day weekend. Can we get away with squeezing them in or will they not allow it even if I have boys willing to bunk on the floor? I'm afraid if not the money will deter them.

The max capacity of the cabins is 6 people, plus one child under 3 that would be using a crib. Unfortunatly, that is all that Disney is allowed to accomodate in the cabins for safety reasons.

Occupany is 6. Even if they would allow it you would literally be stepping on each other.

Also you will only get IDs for 6 therefore the others would not be able to take advantage of early entry and Extra Magic Hours.

You would need a 2 bedroom villa at a DVC resort. They sleep 8.

We have stayed in the cabins before, there is no way 8 people could sleep in one. Even 6 is tight. You really aren't going to have any floor space to make beds... there is a tiny strip of floor next to the bunks and no extra space at all in the living room with the murphy bed pulled down, unless someone sleeps on the kitchen floor. Not to mention it's against Disney rules and you could get in trouble for trying it. I would recommend checking out of the cabin for the 4 day weekend and getting 2 adjoining rooms at a value or moderate resort. You'll be much more comfortable, have two bathrooms, and you won't be breaking any rules. ;) With discounts codes the two rooms will probably cost less than the cabin anyway. :)

No possible way. It's very hard to fit 6 adults in their comfortably.
We had 5 and I was uncomfortable every night sleeping with DH in a double murphy bed. There is no floor space to sleep on unless you want to sleep on the kitchen floor.

We used to stay in the cabins before the Value resorts were built and the price tripled and quadrupled (able to get it for $48 a night back in 93). You have a double bed and a set of bunk beds in the one bedroom. In the living room there is a murphy bed that pretty much takes up the whole living room though there is a love seat/sofa that is there to take up the rest of the room but it is too small for even my 10 year old nephew to sleep on comfortably.

Still the cabins are GREAT! They used to be the best deal around.
