I'm just teasing you. I think we all get along really well here, even if we don't all exactly agree with each other's political views. The problem seemed to come in when Dis'ers from other boards wanted to stir up trouble. The regulars here all have enough respect for each other to know how to behave.

I voted for Obama and haven't been lynched yet! Despite differences, there is a mutual respect. We are insanely outnumbered on this forum......but manage to co-exist peacefully.

Actually, for the most part, I thought the discussion went pretty well. It was probably the most exciting it has been around here in a long time. The side thread on the general community board was interesting, too, if not distorted and inaccurate, which actually made it humorous. Too bad I was half way through it when it got shut down. It was on long enough for me to determine who the real trouble maker was, but I believe it was a fictitious individual. We are now labelled as redneck racists here, which couldn't be farther from the truth, but maybe it will keep some away who like to cause a disturbance in the force. Anyway, liberal or conservative, everybody who likes to camp can pull up a log and visit.

Most of the Campers I have met (or talked to) have a bit of a stubborn independent streak that goes against the grain of the "norm". I don't like to think of folks as "Liberal" or "Conservative"..we are all different people with different opinions. Doesn't mean that all aren't welcome. I think if any of us is attacked, we'll say what we think!

What was funny and I was'nt going to post in it anyway since I'm not that big of a Community Board type thread type of person, but if your are referring to the 15 page thread I was just catching up earlier this p.m. and was on page 8 and when I tried to get to page 9 POOF all gone. Oh well it was at that point starting to really go south so to speak.

I didn't really get to see it either. I saw some upset on the CB that referenced the camping CB....but I didn't get to read much of the thread. I know people get mad sometimes and say things they don't mean (or wish later they hadn't said it) ...that just happens sometimes...I just hope no one really got their feelings hurt.

We all make people mad at one time or another without meaning to but I personally would be horrified if I thought I really hurt someone.
