Now what do I do?

I was able to book under free dining for 9 nights in September. There will be 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children. However, I have just found out that the other adult in our party won't be able to check in when we do. They will be checking in 3 nights later. Will they lose 3 days worth of dining credits? We are "stacking" some of our TS meals at the end of the trip (2 TS a day instead of 1 TS and 1 CS) and I didn't want to be short on credits. Any one know what I should do? Thanks.

You wouldn't lose the credits, but there is a small possibility that you'll have difficulty checking in: Last year, Disney spot-checked free dining check-ins to ensure that there were no "phantom guests" -- i.e., all people registered on the reservation (adults and children) were required to present themselves at check-in.

You need to address this issue directly with Disney. Explain the circumstances, and ask for written confirmation (on WDW letterhead) that you can do what you're planning on doing. The written confirmation is critical, since the standard procedures (assuming they're the same as last year*) will not be in your favor. You're asking for a special exception, and that written confirmation can be presented to any CM doing their job as per those standard procedures to help you secure your special exception.

*While things have changed since last year within the Dining Plan, there are still good reasons for Disney to spot-check.
