Where are you living? I know this is a little off topic, but Im just kinda curious and noisy to get to know everyone.

Do you live in an apartment or duplex, a house, someones basement, a tent?

My DF and I actually have a great situation for us. My mom passed away from cancer four years ago and my father is getting remarried next month. After my mother passed away he bought our church's old parsonage which is a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom house.

To let you know, my Dad is completely awesome and is letting us stay in the house only paying the utility bills until I finish school and we move off to pharmacy school in about a year for DF.

So, for two "young people" who haven't even graduated college yet, we're very blessed to live in such a big house!

I have a house I bought by myself six years ago 9 (and have been trying to sell for 9 months now!) DF has a nice cape cod house where we live currently, AND DF has a huge 3 unit rental house near our city's university campus...(which he is also trying to sell!) UGH!!!!! Too many houses...three too many mortgage payments, and lawns to take care of, and utilities to pay, etc..

me and df came down from long island new york to do the disney college program and decided to stay. We bought our home 1 year ago. It is a nice home 3 bedroom 2 bath kitchen dining area den and a large lanai. It was new. we think it will be a nice place to start a family.

abbypan- i would love to have a new neighbor. let me know if you need some ideas of areas and all. The houses here are at a nice price right now.

He moved into our apartment in July, we got married in August. My stuff lived there the month before, but I didn't. We lived there until the end of June, when we found out our apartments were being sold as condos. We moved to another apartment, where we are now. We'll be out of here by the end of this month, and we'll be tent dwellers until I get a job and we know where to buy a house. He's already started work in a new city. In all likelihood, our stuff will move to storage, we'll live in one of those rent by the week places for a while, then we (along with our stuff) will move into the house we're buying. At this point I would go for a tent just to have somewhere.

well, personally, I LOVE the tent idea! it's the scouter in me ( I'm Asst Cubmaster of camping for our Cub Scouts and I also volunteer on the District level)....have done TMR and Philmont

I bought a 2 bedroom garden style condo here in Staten Island exactly 3 years ago today! and DF moved in 2 years 10 months ago. We share our humble abode with my two youngest ( 23 and 20 ) , the cat ( 11 plus years ) and our two chihuahua's - Bella and Keyser Soze...

Oh, I soo want to come visit you when you move to NYC!! I have never been and I have a round trip ticket voucher to use by 8/31/08!! (of course one week before our wedding!!) of course, once you're settled and all. I am just kidding of course, but I am way jealous...would love to see NY!!!

Is he stationed in Ramstein? My brother is in the AF and was in germany for I think 4 years. We went to visit him, it was so beautiful! Is he living off base? If so what village is he in? How long has he been stationed there? This is exciting!

DF owns his own home in the South Bay Area. He's had it for a little over 5 years now. I moved in with him Nov. 2005 and we've lived together ever since... however, I came back east to CT the summer of 2006 and have been living with my parents in CT while I'm at my current job. When a position opens in my company's branch in San Fran (before our wedding for sure,) I will move out there and live with DF (or get my own apartment in the city because the commute is like death from our town and he'll visit some nights and definitely weekends (it's only like an hour and 1/2 away with no traffic.)) Then after our wedding we'll look for a house that is between San Fran and the town DF works in.

Anything beats the arrangement we have now where we only see eachother for a few days every 4-5 weeks!!!

For 4 years DF and I lived 800 miles apart. We moved into an apartment when we moved to Portland together last summer. We will be here until he gets out of grad school and then I am looking forward to getting a house! For now, we are enjoying our place.

LOL... He's actually at Spangdahlem. It's the smaller one about an hour from Ramstein. He is off base, he lives in Oberoffliggen or something, lol. He was stationed at Buechel for 4 years (its a German base nearby) then a year in Korea and has been at Spangdahlem for 3 years... and he's there until Jan of 09 . So I get to move there, haha. YAY! Oh yeah... but he/we go to Ramstein a lot... Chilis!!! Oh and their BX is way bigger, haha.

I live in an apartment in North Carolina until I graduate from nursing school in December. DF lives near South Padre Island in a house he bought a year ago (he is on a 2 year project down there, with 1 year left to go). After his project for his job ends in May of 2008, we will move to Houston and get a house/loft in downtown near the medical center. However, we are going to keep the home in Padre as a beach/second home. I LOVE the beach, and I love having an excuse to go there even more! (And DF has a boat and loves to fish, so he is not complaining either!! ).
