Any idea how long before we know the impact? I have Metrojet ressies from Logan direct to Orlando on 2/24 and then back to Manchester through BWI on 3/3.

Will they reschedule? Refund?

Help!!!!

you will be rescheduled on a usairways flight. if they cannot accommodate you then they will put you on another carrier or refund your money.

Beverly Lynn,

It was on our local news last week that USAirways is cutting flights 23% starting in December. Did you hear anything about when the revised December schedules are coming out? I have a trip December 1 to 7 (PIT-MCO). Thanks! Debbie

I have been checking US Air's website daily for my flight. Tonight it was cancelled. I called immediately and they put me on another flight. The flight home is still up in air {bad joke, I know}. Just keep checking for your flight on the website and hope for the best.

We paid extra for a "better " flight time. My TA hasn't called me yet, so I guess I'll be calling her tomorrow. If they cancel our flight and reschedule us at theie convenience I hope we get our money back!

I'm worried about our Metrojet reservations, we have nonstop flights to/from Logan going down 11/8 and coming back 11/17. I would almost rather they just refund my money. I don't want to be rescheduled on a less convenient flight with stops, it's bad enough that the nonstop flight time changed 3 times already since we booked. :( I'd rather just get my money back and book a nonstop Southwest flight out of Manchester, NH...which is a lot cheaper and closer to us anyway!

Oh well, we shall see!

the metrojet will cease svc the begin of the new year. for nov you should be fine. you went thru schedule changes. this is with all the carriers it happens on a quarterly basis. this si what happens when you buy a tkt so far in advance. if you do not like what they put you on then tell them.

so far so good on flights from pit. this is the way it was explained to me...they will use more feeder flights into the major hubs, pit, clt, phl. so these 3 cities should still be the same with flights...its the smaller cities that will get cut and they will use more express to feed nto the hub. they are utilizing the spoke and hub system more now than ever before. if I could post a diagram here it would make more sense.

I understand the schedule changed. That doesn't mean I have to like it. :) This is the first time my flights have ever changed time, though, in the past few years that I've been buying my own plane tickets, so that is why I find it annoying. I guess if my flights changed regularly I'd be used to it by now. :)

That's good to hear about the service not stopping until the new year, although the articles in the local papers have said that they will be stopping it by December totally and gradually phasing things out before then, so I still don't really feel like I know what's going on. We called USAir yesterday and the lady we spoke to said that it's all just rumor and speculation that Metrojet is even closing, so I am taking her response with a grain of salt, since the newspaper articles have said that USAir has confirmed it.

I still almost wish that it was closing before our flights like I said, so I could just book a new flight on a different airline. I don't know if I really feel comfortable safety-wise flying on a service now that is being phased out. :(
