That's my favorite part about some of my pictures, it's my way of "going back."

I took these today at the Wildlife Refuge about 20 minutes North of us, I can't believe in a year of living here I never knew this place existed. I've got many more but these are the only two I've cropped and framed already.

A bee inside a flower

This guy was camera shy, we waited for 30 minutes to see him come up from his hiding spot in the grass underwater. He was about 7 feet or so.

Great photos! Isn't it an awesome place. Tara and I discovered it in October. I hope to take a drive out there next week during spring break!

Daannzzz, you post the most interesting photos. Is that a mailbox on a pulley? Where did you find that? And I still can't figure out what it was that you posted before that. Another Christmas ornament? Both sets are very neat photos.

Daannzzz, you post the most interesting photos. Is that a mailbox on a pulley? Where did you find that? And I still can't figure out what it was that you posted before that. Another Christmas ornament? Both sets are very neat photos.

I was up at my Brother and Sister-in-law's old house in the redwoods. The first item is a paperweight they have on a light stand.
The Mailbpx on a pulley was electrified at one time. The people could push a button and the mailbox would go out to the street. After the mail came they would push a button and it would come back to the house!
