OT:The whole of Disneyland Paris is beautifully done, even more so than WDW or DL, yet it is not kept looking nice, the rules on cleaning aren't as strict as in the US parks:mad: It's not good to see bins overflowing even in the off-season:sad1: Must stop or I could go on all day!

Yesterday was DH's 50th bday, so tonight we went out to a really nice restaurant on Mt. Washington, which overlooks the city of Pittsburgh. I hadn't been up there in years, so of course I took my camera.

Here's the city:

They recently erected a statue up here to commemorate George Washington surrendering to the Indians after the battle of Ft. Necessity. During the French and Indian War, Washington was fighting at Ft. Pitt (which is in downtown Pittsburgh where the Allegheny River (with all the ice on the left in the picture) joins the Monongahela River to form the Ohio River. The Indians forced him back to Ft. Necessity (which is about 40 miles south/east of Pittsburgh), where he surrendered to the Indians. Here are some pictures of the new statue (there's probably a plaque explaining all this, but everything was frozen over).

And here's Pittsburgh at night:

I shot it in both color and b/w, many times... I did this with a 32 second shutter time. It was pitch black out, I'm talking no light but the tiny lights on the pier. I could not even see the pier/rocks until the photo had been taken, I just aimed and hoped for the best.

I was driving through a nearby neighborhood this weekend and found this swan. Completely solitary....

Except for the occasional uninvited goose! :lmao:
