We got these for our kids for our upcoming WDW trip. They saved my feet for our Dec trip. DD already has pink, so these are her 2nd pair and the boys first pair. I've got 3 pairs. CROCS is making a fortune off us, but they are worth every penny when you're walking around the parks all day!

LOL Same thing has occurred in our home! First I had a pair, then dd, then my mom, and now dh is saying perhaps he should get a pair to our quicly growing collection. Our youngest dd is still too small for crocs, and neither of my boys 9 and 10) have expressed an interest, but I imagine it is only a matter of time :-)

I saw a girl at the swimming pool yesterday with the neatest crocs...they were kinda tie died! They had yellow in the tip where the toes are and then sorta faded into green. I have never seen these and I wondered if they were a new design of if the child had stepped into something to cause this? My head teamed with the possibilities! I wanted desperately to quiz the child about her shoes, but I did not know her and I thought her parents might find it a bit odd or even creepy to have a grown woman chatting up their kid about her shoes ;-) LOL

Hey there Croc lovers-
I have a question for those of you who wear them to the parks...
Do you wear w/ or w/o socks? I really want a pair, but am afraid of them rubbing my skin off if going sockless, or having too (two, too) hot feet with socks on.

The tye-dye ones are from Payless. I have tried them on there, and compared to my real Crocs, I think they are really uncomfortable. But they do have some cute ones. :)

These are the Payless ones--they didn't have a photo of the yellow and green. DS got those. He thinks he's so cool. :smooth:

I really don't like Crocs but I see lots of lots of people with them on so they must be comfy. But today I saw the worst look ever with Crocs. The lady had on a white t-shirt, gray shorts, bright orange Crocs with ankle/sport socks. I have to tell you Crocs, socks and shorts just look really bad.

These are the ones I'm thinking of getting .

DD has 2 pairs of Crocs and wants the Blue Swril from Payless.

I know Airwalk as a very good Shoe company I had many in my skateboarding days they really held up to abuse.

I can relate. My kids would hijack my crocs and wear them around the house-they thought they were cool.

Now, we get comments on how colorful we are. Both boys got their favorite colors, DH got Orange (a la Mario Batali) and I picked up a not for work pair in Turquoise (3 pairs of work crocs).

Since the kids got their crocs, they haven't worn anything else.

Hi triplefigs
Where did you find childrens size crocs in those colors? Especially the orange? I'd like to get my dd and ds a pair.
thanks

There are carts in most shopping malls here in So. Cal these days and they sell the kids sized crocs.

My daughter has a pink pair with a purple back strap. I have an all purple pair myself. I wear them daily.

I love my Crocs too! I started the trend with my family. I bought a pink pair over a year ago and a few weeks later my Mom bought an orange pair. Now, DFi has bought himself a pair of sage ones so he has comfy shoes for work. I wear my Crocs to work all of the time, they are so comfy!

Thanks! I was trying to avoid ordering on line so that I don't have to pay the extra shipping costs. I've only seen the crocs at a couple of sporting good stores and they did not have many colors. (When I entered my zip on the crocs website, that's what showed up).
Maybe I can make a trip to the mall on Monday... :)

I got them at our local Hallmark store and they were $24 each. They had every color and childrens size.

I didn't get my Strips Airwalks today ( Womans 11 still to small )

But DD and DW ( yea we talked her into a pair) Bought a pair of VEGS ( another Croc look-a-like)

DD bought a green pair and DW a white but they both have big flowers screenprinted on them .Thats why DW said why not.

I can see it now.... a year or so from now the podiatrists will be making millions because of people wearing Crocs all the time.....

They are just not for me. Thankfully nobody in my family has or wants any. I know I am in the minority, but I still think they are hideous!

I do have to admit that I have never, and will never try on a pair. I just do not see how a hunk of rubber can be good for your feet. :confused3

I put them in the same category with high heels for women and flip flops. Comfy? maybe. Stylish? some think so. Good for the feet/legs? I don't think so.

More power to those who choose to wear them..... I hope they don't cause you problems down the road!! :)

CJ, I was molded for custom orthotics two weeks before I got my first pair in early March. I've got plantar faciitis. My foot isn't hurting anymore and I haven't gone to pick up the orthotics.

Called the podiatrist and he offered to order in the podiatric ones for me-but the regular ones are fine. I don't know if that is the case for everyone, but from someone who works standing on the feet 8-10 hours per day, that's impressive.

Poohnatic, that's great... I am glad they are working out for you. DH has to be on his feet all day, but I know he would not be caught dead in a pair of crocs! One of the ladies that interns with us wears a pair... and it's kind of a running joke with her.

I can understand people liking the comfort..... but I still don't understand how people can like the appearance. :confused3

I was skeptical at first but wore them this week walking the Freedom Trail in Boston. Walking HILLS for HOURS...my back and hips were hurting a few hours in, but my feet felt GREAT even after a day's worth of that. I can honestly say I was shocked. For dinner, I switched to my Athens and felt really good.
