Now its 2014 is anyone else waiting for April?

Ha yes, a Dis meet would be fab - we can arrange nearer the time :thumbsup2.

Good to know about locations within resort Azza - I hadn't even got that far yet :lmao:.

I know what you mean - the DLH at Paris is a total treat being able to walk - last December when it was cold we were out of the park and in our room within 10 mins max!

I just want to make it as easy as possible for us. I am sure we will spend more time in MK than anywhere else so it seems sensible to be nearer that.

OKW does look lovely though!

I was surprised as my favourite park was Animal Kingdom. How old are your children? We went back to OWK every day - the ease of staying onsite meant that you could pop back whenever you wanted. Have you looked at Fort Wilderness? I liked the look of that too.

Oh, I think we'll love AK too but do think we'll spend more time at MK overall - a lot of our dining plans are there, or near there as well which makes a difference too I guess.

The girls will be 7 & 10 when we go, but I am sure even when they are older, they will need a nap at least every other day if we are to make some of the later entertainment. They are really good at adapting to sleeping during the day on holiday if need be (takes a few days but then they are so tired, they just zonk ;)). So, yes being able to nip back (ha) in the afternoons is a must too.

ETA - I just don't get WL very much - it looks so dark. I won't rule it out as it's nearer the MK but from what I've read, it doesn't have any great advantage over the likes of OKW and I prefer the look of the latter. Just showed DH and he loved the CR and the location but like the OKW idea of having a separate bedroom for practicality more than anything.

Another same time as a few of us now! Also hoping for DDP, makes it much easier doesn't it & no spending money to budget! If I blow all my cash on Mickey Mouse ears I'll still get ice cream! Haha :D

It's my favourite time of year to go! All my trips have been August/September bar the one last year to AS Sports which was April. I missed the August weather in April, I think I just love the heat and humidity. I was wearing jumpers in April, feels wrong to go to Disney and be in a jumper ha ha. We got a couple of days in April that it was pouring down and people say August is bad. The crowds in April weren't too bad (we went out of school time) but August/September is pretty quiet with the exception of maybe Labor Day. We will probably got like around the 22-25th and then do like 7-10 days. Just sort of making some vague decisions now and then waiting for the offers so I can sort it all out!

I genuinely probably wouldn't go to Disney now unless I was on free DDP, it's just so great to go knowing all of that is taken care of and it's such a saving. Plus because the party we are taking in 2015 is likely to be pretty big it also saves a lot of hassle for me. I'd rather decide in advance where to eat, book online and then just have a schedule before we leave. Plus I think having a plan before you go is so much more exciting that arriving not knowing what you're going to do. I am a big planner! Hope you guys have a great trip, I am really looking forward to ours already!

Free DDP really appeals to me especially if all 6 (maybe 7) of us end up going! No arguing over the bill is probably the most appealing bit, when it's 2 couples & 3 friends of various ages I'm sure it would happen ;) if we get free DDP I can book all our TS meals in the evening & just leave everyone to sort themselves out in the day time.

We went first week of May last year & although the first 2/3 days were rainy & cloudy the other 5/6 were lovely not too hot but shorts & t shirt weather. Not too sure how I'll cope with the humidity of August, think I'll have to so early park mornings & pool afternoons :)

I think we'll be looking to go around the 27th-30th August for 7 nights - 9 nights, but I'm not sure whether to book one less night then I need like 2tiggies suggested & then change it to 7 days and alter my dates once I've booked the flights later, then I still get the deals (if there is any!) and I don't pay a £50 amendment fee or get stuck with flight prices I didn't want to pay!

But now I'm also toying with either booking in April if the deals are out, a 2 bed apartment at OKW with free DDP if they've got itor hanging on for the room discounts & booking BC/YC but then we'd need 3 rooms but stormalong bay looks amazing but I couldn't afford to pay full room rate & just get free DDP! Tough decisions!

I'm going with friends and my friends children, I don't have any so you know just take all of theirs! I say children but they will be like 14-18 when the times comes but we will be as one big group at all times pretty much.

If the information is released in April I probably need to get a move on with some decision making, I think flights are possibly going to be the main issue. I really don't mind doing an indirect flight and saving myself a ton but I'm not sure if they will all feel the same. We've been as a group before and went direct but it was off peak and cost maybe a little over £600 Manchester to MCO. I know August is sort of off peak too but I've paid £500-£575 for indirect in August because the direct always seems like A LOT more! We've done BC and YC, I really like BC (probably more than YC, just like the feel of BC!) but it's just not in the budget this time with having to cater to everyone's needs. I think if the offers are similar to previous years and the regular DDP (as opposed to the quick service) is free with moderates then that's perfect for us. I love staying at the Epcot area hotels because Epcot is literally just a walk away and the buses/boats from the BC always seemed so easy to use. Plus I like being able to be on the Boardwalk in the evening etc. I would do POR but it's a little more expensive and we have someone in our party who really doesn't like Caribbean Beach so that's out. AKL always seems to come up at a great price all year round but the lift situation there confuses me, not keen on the darkness or the location either.

Yeah flight prices is what concerns me so I'm happy to book one less day then I needed so I can chop & change it a bit later on if needed without paying the £50 amendment fee.

Fly Thomas Cook seem to have some good prices at the minute for direct from manchester but August is still quite expensive! They seem to reduce down towards the end and in to September though :) x

In reply to original post....... me too! i'm so excited that i can say we are going next year :cool1:
i'm looking to book in April (package) for october 2015, hoping (if budget allows!) for 14 nights in AoA, our 10 year wedding anniversary and my DD's first visit :goodvibes will be first time staying on site and first time with our little girl, so really excited

Although I am now contemplating just booking a sneaky week in early October before the half term holidays and getting a taste of the F&W festival!

All the BC/YC rooms are fully booked except at club level, but its £1600 for the week for both of us, with cheap flights with Thomas cook at £470 direct return from Manchester!

Oh my the temptation to book is growing.... OH would go mad :rotfl2:

yes i am waiting for 2015 dates and prices but im also terrified by what awaits me as i have a new job in school so its gota be school holidays :worried:

our 2013 trip was 22nd aug for 22 nights i really want the next trip to be bigger and better more nights in miami , longer onsite stay and a disney cruise so depending on the pricing it will either be cut down the plans or wait another year

i will be doing it fully diy again as last year ran so smoothly and saved a fortune, and now ive done it once im sure it will be a lot less stressfull

Mmmm!! I loved the food and wine festival, but not enough to tempt me to go again in October... it was great to see everywhere decked out for Halloween and MNSSHP was great fun, but I found it busier than our two previous visits in May (which surprised me) so fingers crossed we will be looking for May 2015 deals :)

We loved CSR last time so are leaning towards staying there again, just can't wait to go back :goodvibes

We did early May last year for our first visit and the crowds were fine for us too. Hopefully October won't be too busy when go :) xxx

We're waiting to book for October 2015...the waiting is driving me mad! Really hoping for free dining, fingers crossed!
