Now HOW will we know which one is the REAL Disney Destinations?

Now that the Disney Destinations e-mails have been compromised,
exactly how will we be able to tell the real one from all the fake ones??

Will we be able to trust it to bring it up on our computers at all ?

How will they let us know it is the real deal ?

I'm wondering the same thing. I want to add more money to my deposit, and I usually receive an up-dated reservation showing balance due after I do this. Right now, I am afraid to open anything from Disney Destinations or the other many companies that I deal with involved in the breach. I'd especially hate to miss any important info re: my Disney reservations or special offers.

Opening an email should do no harm - unless you are using a really, really ancient email program. In which case ANY email you open could do harm.

The main thing is to NEVER reply to those emails, even the seeming legit ones, with personal information.

And do NOT click on any link you see in the message without looking at the REAL URL that it would take you do. Most email readers will now display the actual URL if you hover over the link. Don't even trust the link if it is displayed within the email itself!!!

If the true URL does not look like the correct destination, do not click on it. Instead, go directly to the appropriate web site.

This is good advice all around - even before the Epsilon debacle...

Some companies will never put a link in their e-mails.

A few years ago I received an e-mail from PayPal that my credit card had passed its expiration date. They told me to "log in to PayPal securely as I usually do" and then gave me the steps to follow.

So just log in from your browser or from a bookmark. The only time I will click on a link is if it is to something like YouTube or another site where I do not have to sign in or give personal information.
