How do you find a clock that doesnt make so much noise?

I swear its like chinese water torture in my house right now with all of the tick tocks going on. My kids each have a clock in the rooms, I have one in my bathroom... sometimes it seems like it gets really loud in here! Especially if I cant sleep. I have been known to go through the house and remove batteries in the middle of the night because I cant stand the noise ( I chalk it up to the fibro and that everything gets on my nerves then. Just a theory ;) )

So, aside from going ugly digital everywhere are there such things as quiet clocks?

Like I said I knows its a dumb question so you can laugh LOL

In my experience, only if you take out the batteries. Then they're right twice a day....

Maybe some background music to drown them out?

I agree Binny. I haven't been able to find a battery powered clock that doesn't make enough noise to keep me awake also. In the bedroom I went with a plug in Disney clock that is quiet as can be and DH has a battery digital. I used to have a wall clock too all the way across the room but the tick..tick..tick..drove me nuts. I haven't found the price seems to be an issue either. The more expensive ones are just as annoying as the cheap ones. :confused3

Thats what Ive found too RN. I like clocks but any that are enclosed seem to make a lot of noise. I have one that I bought at a yard sale that isnt as loud but its in my kitchen oh well

LOL right at twice a day!

I think I will have to find something that will drown it out.

Try finding a quartz clock. I don't think they tick.

look into the digital travel clocks, very quiet! We have several and use one of the travel ones now instead of a desktop one on the nightstand.

plus they are battery powered, so no problems it the power goes out!
