Now going solo for my June trip

I agree Lisa!! If you are already there, just call MS! You will be amazed at what is available!

In Feb my sister invited another couple at the last minute and had booked them at the Ramada. I like these people so I told them let me see what I can do and called MS and was able to get 2 nights at BCV in a studio. They had to stay 2 nights at the Ramada but they sure appreciated BCV after that! Called me from SAB thanking me profusely!!:rotfl:

Last week, I booked a BWV stand view night for friends that were staying in Cocoa beach and were going to stay in an MCO hotel the night before they left. Instead they got to hang out on the Boardwalk!:wizard:

I love owning points! :wizard:

CJ enjoy your solo trip. I went solo to BLT last year for a few days and it was sooooo relaxing. Went walking each morning, stopped and talked to people as long as I wanted, and had dinner at the Wave every night!! Sat on my Stan view patio and listened to the music and enjoyed my glass of wine:cloud9:

Doing it again this year:wizard:

So does this mean you are not getting the Grand Villa?:goodvibes

That is just mean. (Insert smiley thing) My head will be looking down at the carpet when I pass the double doors of a GV as I walk past to my measly Studio. I will stay at a GV again.

We got two different WL at BWV for a studio and a 1BR to come through in the past 10 days for the first week of October. Seems to be a lot BWV owners are going somewhere else at the 7 month mark. Maybe it will be like that for you.
A little pixiedust: to help you out.

P.S. Why not try out one of those Segway tours. If you get a BWV reservation you'll be just around the corner for the one at Epcot.

Saving the Segway tour for when the kid can go. She will love that. Thanks for the pixie dust. Here is hoping it works. Anyway, I will be at Disney by myself. Woo Hoo.

Now my suggestions for your trip, take pictures of people you do not know and create a trip report about them (make up the stories based on the pictures).

What is wrong with your child to take a scholarship to study art rather than go to Disney? Are you a bad parent? Oh wait, mine is going to soccer camp rather than Disney. Never mind. Your suggestion is too funny. Maybe I will do that if I decide to write a trip report. The possibilities are endless. And how is the guest list coming for your daughter's birthday trip? Thought I forgot didn't you.

:lmao:
OMG kid-at-heart. :rotfl:

And yes your fans will be entertained. The best TRs ever. And yes I know - you might not do one. :rolleyes1

I've done many solo trips and have many ideas - later. I'll post later. Right now I have more pertinent information.

Do not forget the under seven day free for all if the WL doesn't come through. Where waitlists have been trashed and it's a survival of the fittest.

It's a game I so adore. LIFERBABE has scored as well. It's got all the elements: excitement, dedication, anticipation and the SCORE! You'd be shocked how many goodies are given up at the last minute by DVCers (and rooms put back in the system for other reasons as well).

Oooh, dialing for reservations. Sounds like fun. No guarantee that a TR is coming. Your TRs are not so bad either. Don’t feel shy (insert LMAO thing here) with your suggestions

I also love owning points and good for you. I hope you have a nice relaxing and enjoyable trip. I loved the Wave when we went last year. Wine and/or martinis will be involved in this trip.

Activities from my many a solo trip -

BOATS - I always choose boats for transportation - makes a big difference solo

RENT A BOAT

HAMMOCKS - better yet hammock, book and a drink. Heaven. :cloud9: Coronado or Poly - I prefer Poly - read an entire book there once - and violins started playing - I thought it was heatstroke - NOPE - someone was getting married on the hill.

I see hammocks as a simple extension of DVC pool hopping. :rolleyes1

AREAS -

BW and DD - spend a lot of time in these areas - you're alone yes - but in the middle of everything. The best.

BW - airport bottle of rum/bottle of Coke from Screen Door and mixy mixy but if you get your WL not necessary, eh?

DD - patios WPE, Paradiso 37 etc. Cookes of Dublin great people actually walk by and seem jealous of YOU. :goodvibes

Always a movie at DD if push comes to shove. And free chocolate.

If not DD/BW then CR/WL/Poly/GF for same reasons plus easy to move on when you've had your fill. I would suggest a monorail drink night but how much fun can that be solo.

Poly is the best. But you already know that. And Wishes from the beach. Oh yeah you have park passes - insert jealous and bitter icon - I can't find it in my rage and envy.

FW/WL/CR triangle - adore it. Plus I like eating down at the FW marina. The Trail's End does not advertise this but they have made the buffet available for takeout on past trips. I hate buffets but it's nice to take down to the marina. Relaxing.

FW in the summer. Nice.

WALKING PATHS/TRAILS - OKW to DD; WL to FW; SSR to DD

WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS - I always check their schedule.

PICTURE TAKING - perfect solo activity - and still LOVE kid-at- heart's suggestion. :lmao: Plus I did request a POR flower shot. ;)

PARKS - obviously World Showcase is perfect. But those Tony's rocking chairs in MK - priceless. Trust me - so much to take in. Character line ups, confused people with maps, late meet ups. :lmao::rotfl:

SINGLE RIDER LINES - score!

You could ask the Canadian Epcot CMs why the heck they are wearing lumberjack outfits. :3dglasses

MGM - I've eaten at the bar in 50s PT cafe. But you might miss the girls, eh?

POOLS, NAPS and ALCOHOL - perfect solo activities. :lmao: Perfect non-solo activities. :rotfl:

I've never done this but I'd love to do that car racing thingy. Yes, I'm tired. Words are escaping me at warped speed.

ANYTHING YOU WANT AT ANY MOMENT - the best thing about solo trips.
