Okay, so I love my new DVR. DH did a little research and found an awesome cable package for us that included a DVR and free subscription to HBO. It's a two year plan, and get this...it's cheaper than what we were paying for expanded basic.
Not only do we have a plethora of channels with which to entertain ourselves, it costs less! How cool is that?
Less on cable = more money for Disney.
So suffice it to say, someone...who shall remain nameless...coughcoughahemTKcoughcough...has had a slight addiction to the musical Mamma Mia. And has been watching it.
A lot.
Hence the title.
Anyway, it pertains, because I did have a dream. I've been sick half the week now and last night was the first night I got good solid sleep. My supervisor at work even gave me today off because I'd been dogging it out so well. Long story short, apparently it was a good sleep, because I had a dream.
About our resort.
In my dream, we had just arrived at the Pop Century, and I was so dang excited to be there, to be at the hotel, that I walked up to one of the big, huge, iconic letters and...
I hugged it.
The funny part is that these letters

are on the backside of Century Hall, whereas in my dream, they were in the front, in the place of the big numbered year icons. Ah well, it was my dream, I guess I could change the placement, eh? Perhaps we'll have to construct a reenactment photo upon arrival.
So, suffice it to say, I'm excited about the trip and I'm excited about the Pop Century hotel! Normally, I'm meh about staying there, especially about having stayed deluxe so much in the past, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to the food court, and three pools to choose from, and the bright colors, and the feel of it. The vibrant energy of it.
Which is funny, because ever since I threw the itinerary out the window, this is one of the most relaxed trips I think we've ever been on, and we're probably staying in one of the most energetic resorts on the property!
Life is what you make it, however, and I plan to make it fun. Relaxing. Enjoyable. Whatever the mood strikes.
A little bit of a food update as well, Mom just got the brochure for the Food and Wine Festival, and bless her, she made me a photocopy. So I marked that puppy up and circled all the booths I'd like to visit. Frequent. Imbibe from.
Very exciting.
There's not terribly much left to do for this trip.
I'd like to make another round of tie dye shirts, this time, Halloween themed. I ordered a whole bunch of shirts and dye to get started on my new little endeavor, and while I'm working on that, I thought I'd throw in a few more for us as well. I'm also seriously debating making them for my FIL and Nana. I'm almost positive they would consider wearing it. Almost. Actually, if I did the orange/black Halloween theme, I bet they'd even wear them to the party. That idea has merit.
Anyway, that's one thing left to be done.
Another is the purchase of a booster seat for my son. I plan to pack it in our luggage, as DH and I have decided not to take the big car seat on the plane. Let me tell you, that'll make getting through the airpot so much nicer. I'm really going to appreciate that this year.
And I also need to buy or make a Wall E costume for my son. That idea has pretty much stuck, so Wall E it is. And, in turn, I'll be making an Eve costume for my mom, because as much as DS is convinced that he's going to be Wall E, he's also convinced that my mom is going to be Eve. So cute.
Other than that, it'll be those last minute things like camera batteries and glow necklaces. You know, the fun stuff.
The trip approaches. A little over a month away and I am finally getting really excited. I mean, I was excited before, but what with kids going back to school, and the local farm stand that predominately sells apples from their orchard (you can hand pick as well) being open, the signs of fall are here. It's almost the end of August!
And autumn is in the air.
Which means the trip is drawing near.
