I will be going the evening of 12/14, booked the CCP at Biergarten for 5:30 dinner and 8:15 show with Meredith Vieira as the narrator. Is this her first time or has she been there in the past? This is the only day I'm available to attend and my first time attending the CP. Really looking forward to it. Thanks.

I think she would be great! I seem to remember seeing her name before in years past. Either way I think she will be really great for it. It's an amazing event! I did it for the first time in 2013 and doing it again this year. (Actually doing it twice in the same week now...lol.)

I have one of those 'glitch' reservations as well. It shows up in MDE, so it 'should' be honored.
I called in to add a birthday to our CP reservation made during the glitch and according to the CM everything looked good (she commented that I must have been up early making the reservation this morning, so it must look the same!)

I booked two on with NPH on Dec 3 at Rose and Crown and the other Dec 4 with Whoopi at Via Napoli. Not sure about my Universal plans are, so not sure which one I am keeping. Would rather see Whoopi. Love that EGOT lady.

That is kind of what I was afraid of. As a Christian, I don't want her to shed any of her personal political beliefs or religious opinions on something like this, in this setting. It would bother me. Any other setting she can have at it. But not for this. I could potentially change some of my plans for my trip and try to get NPH again but not sure it would work. Thanks for your input!!!

We've seen Whoopi and we thought she did an excellent job. The only thing she shared was how pleased she was with Disney and that she could participate in a wonderful event like the CPP. I'd see her again in a second. Oh - and we will! :santa: She's been one of the few readers who seem actually moved by her part. We've had several that just read.

That is very good to know! Thank you. I added a lunch to see a Neil Patrick Harris day, but then I have decided to keep my dinner on the Whoopi night as well. I thought she had the potential to be great for it, just wasn't sure. So I think I will give it a chance.

Thanks for the update! I won't worry about it anymore!

I'm currently planning to arrive on 12/4 and I booked the CPP with Whoopi on 12/5. I'm considering moving my whole trip to arrive on 12/3 to see NPH, but I'm not sure if it's worth it? (I'd also have to switch my MVMCP to a weekend instead of 12/8 if I were to switch things...) Thoughts?

That's what I don't understand about this picking a time. Some of them have to be a certain time or you could be eating during the show! It doesn't seem like it could possibly work.

I tried to get an earlier show time but was told there was no more availability for the time.
So they must be limiting it b

I planned my trip dates to hopefully coincide with NPH, so may be the wrong one to answer! But a few things to consider - a Tuesday party will be far less crowded than a weekend (and if you already have your party tickets, you are probably stuck). Also, I'd be very nervous doing CP on my arrival day in case of any travel delays. I'm sure the CP will be beautiful regardless of the narrator, so not sure its worth completely blowing up your plans at this point? However, if this is a once in a lifetime Christmas trip, and you will be disappointed not seeing NPH, then it's definitely worth looking into a change. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!

Just changed my Via Napoli 11/28 'glitch' reservation to get a better time. We wanted the 6:45PM show vs. the 8:15Pm one we got originally. I booked a 12:45Pm lunch--it says lunch in the title...so I'm hoping it's lunch pricing--I'd much prefer to pay lunch price over dinner price, especially for my 11 yr. old 'adult'.

I'm assuming the designation of "lunch" or "dinner" in your ADR refers also to pricing.

The Disney Parks Blog now has a piece about the CP. In the comments the author says: "Guests have the option of booking a dining reservation at any time throughout the day and choosing the time of show they would like to attend as long as their dining reservation begins a minimum of 2.5 hours prior to the start of their show time. Example: Guest can book a 12:30 p.m. lunch and attend the 8:15 p.m. show."

Definitely seems like they loaded some additional times this morning. I found a lot openings for Via Napoli on 12/24 that weren't options yesterday. :cheer2:
