NOW BOOKING!!!! 2015 Candlelight Processional ADR Watch thread

That should be true but for a lot of us, it isn't working out that way when we book online. I have a 12:05 lunch at Biergarten and my reservation shows the 8:15 CP Showtime.

It hasn't been true for me either. I have 2 reservations for Via Napoli on dates during Christmas week (will drop one once our plans and the narrators get sorted out) ... One is a 2 pm lunch with the 6:45pm show and one is a 4:30 dinner with a 8:15 pm show. I'd love an earlier show time on Christmas Eve but, as of now, everything is booked up if we want to eat at Via.

If you call to make (or modify) reservation, they will let you pick your show time no matter what time you are eating. I had no wait when I called. They even changed the showtime for a ressie I had made online.

I'm really surprised by this. How are they supposed to regulate how many people show up for the dining package show seating at each performance if they let everyone pick their own show. For instance, I'm reading numerous posts that people want the 8:15 show because it's darker out and the visual is more vivid. If I'm paying a premium for the package or using 2 dining credits, they better darn well have enough seats reserved for us.

This was what happened with me too. Everything I looked at for past 1pm or so for Biergarten on 12/22 said it was tied to the 8:15 show. I called and they gave me a 12:30 reservation with a 6:45 show which is exactly what I wanted but a lot different than it had been in prior years. They never specifically said they could give me any showtime I wanted, though, and seem to be searching for availability as they would for any ADR.

I canceled the CP package I booked during the "glitch" on 6/27 and rebooked under a "real" package today! Now what I'm wondering is... it sounds like as previous posters have said, if everyone is allowed to pick their preferred show time, there are not a restricted number of tickets per show, correct? We have a 5:30 PM reservation for the 8:15 PM show. If that's the case, how early should we queue up?

I have one of those "glitch" reservations, has anyone confirmed they are honoring them? It shows on site and in mde as being the same as a regular one from what I understand.

There should still be a restricted number of tix/show. That's why we're paying a premium to do the package.

And if all the early dining people are picking late shows and those fill up...maybe a 6:30PM reservation is going to get you the 5PM show.
:faint:

I have one of those 'glitch' reservations as well. It shows up in MDE, so it 'should' be honored.

I'm wondering about this too now. My "glitch" reservation is still showing up perfectly so I don't feel like I need to change anything.

Hmmmm. Anyone else concerned about this?

That's what I don't understand about this picking a time. Some of them have to be a certain time or you could be eating during the show! It doesn't seem like it could possibly work.

Thanks for everyone's information and help. Was able to book Chef de France for 12/9 at 5:10 for the 8:15 show. Very excited as we have never attended.

It seems lunches are starting earlier than previously advertised. If lunches for the 5 pm show used to be 1:45 to 2:45...this year My lunch is 12:45 for the 5 and my other choice when booking with the cm was lunch at 2 for the 6:15 show. I booked via the phone. Perhaps they are just counting how many for each showtime?

I finally got a 12:45 lunch reservation at via Napoli, but it put me into the 8:15 show time. I wanted the 5:00pm or 6:45. I also have an 11:30am reservation which did give me the 5:00pm show, but I don't really want to eat that early. I called to see if I could get the 12:45 reservation switched to an earlier show time and she said none were available at via Napoli. But, maybe at somewhere else. I don't want to switch restaurants though. Very frustrating!

Have any of you been before when Whoopi Goldberg was the narrator? She's scheduled for the night I have a reservation. I've only been once and it was when Neil Patrick Harris was doing it, and he did such a wonderful job. Curious to hear what anyone thought of Whoopi. Not the biggest fan of her, but don't dislike her either. Thoughts??

Enjoy her as an actress....not big fan of her on the talk show. Did not enjoy her CPP performance. She seemed unprepared and her timing/rhythm were just wrong in so many respects. After the reading she made some personal comments that just seemed a bit inappropriate (this was a couple years ago, so sorry, can't remember exactly what they were). I know there was some media attention to it all.

On the other hand NPH, was fabulous the last two years. I am going to NPH again this year, but skipping Whoopi.....I'm also booked for Joe Morton and Meredith Vieira and have my fingers crossed for Gary Sinise again!

You might go up on youtube and see if Whoopi's CPP is there. Obviously she didn't cause enough people to be upset by her performance as she's been asked back each year, so perhaps it just that some of us don't appreciate her politics and sense of "humor". But I loved her on Star Trek!

For those of you confused as to why you are being given a particular showtime, it is all based on what time you are dining:

  • Dining reservations for the 5:00pm show must be between 1:45 - 2:45pm.
  • Dining reservations for the 6:45pm show must be between 3:30 and 4:30pm.
  • Dining reservations for the 8:15pm show must be between 5:00 and 6:00pm.

I think that may be old information from previous years. I had booked CR at 1:45 earlier this morning and was given an 8:15 show time (which doesn't work for our planned day at Epcot with my littles). I called and asked if the CP time could be moved to 5 pm and the CM said it was full. I looked a couple of hours later and booked a 1:35 CP reservation at CR and was given a 5 pm show time, booked that one, and cancelled the other reservation. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the CP show time given when booking a package.

That's similar to what happened to me, but with Coral Reef. Keep trying to book online, that's what I did and finally got what I wanted.

Obviously just guessing here....but it may be that they have x number of vouchers for each show for each restaurant per day (or perhaps per lunch/dinner). Because today is the first day of booking there are a LOT available....the web shows this theater holds at least 1000 people.

That is kind of what I was afraid of. As a Christian, I don't want her to shed any of her personal political beliefs or religious opinions on something like this, in this setting. It would bother me. Any other setting she can have at it. But not for this. I could potentially change some of my plans for my trip and try to get NPH again but not sure it would work. Thanks for your input!!!
