It looks like the park closes at 10:30 while I am there. Wouldn't this make illuminations at 10:30?

.
I have a 3:50 coral reef on 12/24 and it has me at the 8:15 show, so you may want to try to book the 3:30 to see if you can get the later show. I don't see anything offered after 4pm, so maybe that's why it's a late show???

On my my disney experience app does it show that you have the cp package or just the ADR for the dining? Mine only shows the dining, but I have the email conformation showing the cp package, the time and that it uses 2 credits, etc.

So I watch this thread got no emails until 8:11 this morning, skipping 2-4 pages of post that were made. I checked email saw nothing, so I didn't think anything was going on lol. Kind of annoying, cause I watch the thread to get the emails.

I grabbed a Coral Reef at 3:45 PM but it says 6:45 PM show time.

We are there the 1st week of December. Epcot may close later closer to Christmas, but the Illuminations times should be posted online.

You will not see CP listed in the app, but it will show under your reservations on the website.

This is my worst dining reservation experience ever.

I was on at 6:00 am and trying until 6:15, and nothing.
Tried again around 7 am and it was up.
I was looking for 5:30 on Dec. 2nd for Chefs de France. Only time available was 3:30. Considering the fact that my wife and I are sending the kids to Disney Day Care while we do the CP package (they open at 4:30), that time wasn't going to work.
I tried again at 7:30 and there was absolutely nothing available at Chef's. Tried Tutto Italia, nothing available. Tried Coral Reef, nothing available. Tried Garden Grill, nothing available.
I finally found La Hacienda for 5:30, but when I clicked on it, it bounced me back to the prior page over and over. So I called, and she got me the CP ADR. Not the place I wanted, but I'll take it.
Ridiculous!

Booked Biergarten for 2:05pm to attend the 6:45 show. Tell me why people want the 8:15?
We are because the kids are heading to Lilo & Stitch's Playhouse, which opens at 4:30 while the adults will have some quality alone time and enjoy the CP by themselves.

Neil Patrick Harris is always tough. At least you got something though, that's a lot more than most people will once they realize these opened up this morning.

I would call back and ask for the place and time you want.....I would find it very difficult to believe that during the first few hours of booking that any of the restaurants have sold out yet. As you can read here there are lots of people finding glitches that claim no availability on any day at any time....but then suddenly it's available. Garden Grill breakfast hasn't even loaded yet, but it's announced on their website. Coral Reef is another with a lot of missing dates/times, though some seem to work.

So, either call back or try again online.

Got 12/25 at San Miguel for 8 people for the 8:15 show. Sister got chef France for the 6:15 show now not sure what to choose. Narrator is Edward James Olmos

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but this will be our first time attending CP... does booking the CP dinner package guarantee you a seat?

So, just to clarify, if we do the late show on Dec 21 we will be out in time for Illuminations? Hoping for a great speaker

Thanks

Yes, you'll be out in time. The last show is 8:15 and runs for aprox. 45 minutes. The Illumination show starts at 9:30 i believe.

Any one know where the disabled seating is located? I use a scooter and prefer to stay in it when possible, but if it's way in the back I may have my daughter help me to a seat instead.

They definitely won't start Illuminations until the CP is over. No worries about that. As for finding a spot to watch I've always found it's pretty easy to just watch from anywhere. Unless you've got your heart set on a particular spot. For example the bridge between France and the UK fills up early.

Thanks for everyone who contributed to this thread! Just got Chefs at 5pm on 12/17. :-) I really really wanted Edward James Olmos, but that's ok. Can't wait to find out who our narrator will be!

So, when I got online this morning, I just took what it gave me for the showtime (8:15). I have a lunch ADR booked and have always had it in my head that it would be for the early show, but I guess it has been confirmed that even for lunch ADRs, you can pick your showtime (pending availability), is that correct?

My plan was once I got to work, I'd call and try to switch it for the 6:45 show if it was available, but now I'm wondering if I should leave it for 8:15. :confused3

This is our first CP, so I don't know what I should do. We'll definitely be sticking around for Illuminations that night and I thought I read last year that there was special reserved viewing area if you purchased the CP dining package. I'm guessing that might not work out if we go to the late show because not only will it take time to walk over to the viewing area, but it will probably be pretty crowded at that point. That's not necessarily a deal breaker since I can watch Illuminations from anywhere, but it just has me thinking if there is a reason to switch the time. Thoughts?

Keep trying For Olmos.....

Keep trying For Olmos.....

I would! But he is listed for Dec. 24-26, and unfortunately we're leaving on the 20th because my family does not want to spend ACTUAL Christmas in Disney. I'll keep an eye out though; I know dates/narrators change as the event gets closer. :)

Sorry....didn't catch that! They do change the narrators around so there is a chance!
